Jenna Bush Hager<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s husband, Henry Hager<\/strong><\/a>, kicked off their 16th wedding anniversary with her Today<\/em><\/a> cohost Hoda Kotb<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy anniversary morning, I peered out the window. My husband was not lying next to me,\u201d Bush Hager, 42, explained on the Monday, May 13, episode of Today With Hoda & Jenna<\/em>. \u201cI thought, \u2018Now, where is Henry?\u2019 I see [him] and Hoda frolicking in the ocean. The two of them, sunrise swimming, and I got a little jealous. I threw on my bathing suit and I ran and jumped in.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kotb, 59, noted that she was initially hesitant to jump into the ocean but changed her mind after some encouraging words from Hager, 46. \u201cHe goes, \u2018Get in,\u2019 and I go, \u2018It\u2019s cold.\u2019 He goes, \u2018Get in, look,\u2019\u201d she told Bush Hager. \u201cHe gave me one of the motivational talks I\u2019m sure he gives you, and I was like, all of a sudden, I\u2019m in the water swimming. I was all the way in.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Bush Hager acknowledged that the water \u201cwas not warm,\u201d she teased that she was slightly bummed Kotb \u201cdid the polar plunge with Henry and not with me.\u201d<\/p>\n

The former first daughter has her father, President George W. Bush, to thank for her decades-long relationship with Hager, which began in 2004 while Hager was working [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Bush Hager celebrated both her wedding anniversary and Hager\u2019s birthday while filming Today With Hoda & Jenna<\/em>\u2019s back-to-back Bermuda episodes last week. \u201cHappy 16 years HH \u2013 still love you lots!\u201d she captioned an Instagram Story snap of herself and her husband on Sunday, May 12.<\/p>\n

She shared more pics of Hager with their three kids<\/a> \u2014 Mila, 11, Poppy, 8, and Hal, 4 \u2014 from over the years for his birthday. \u201cHappiest birthday to the best who never took to social media!\u201d she captioned her Thursday, May 9, Instagram slideshow<\/a>. \u201cHenry Hager we \u2764\ufe0f you with all we are! Been together for 20 birthdays \u2026 (still feel 26!!).\u201d<\/p>\n

Kotb also commemorated the couple\u2019s celebrations, which happened to fall within days of Mother\u2019s Day, via Instagram<\/a>. \u201cHappy birthday \u2026 Happy anniversary \u2026 Happy Mother\u2019s Day \u2026 Celebrate!\u201d she captioned a pic of herself and the duo, who wed in 2008, on Thursday. \u201cBtw @jennabhager I love you dearly \u2764\ufe0f.\u201d<\/p>\n

Prior to sharing the Bermuda swimming story on Monday, Kotb praised her cohost\u2019s husband while chatting about what she is looking for in a new romantic partner. \u201cI like an athlete, and I like somebody who\u2019s got, like, strong morals, like Henry,\u201d she stated, telling Bush Hager, \u201cBy the way, you have a great husband.\u201d<\/p>\n
