Once a family, always a family. Lauren Graham<\/strong><\/a>, Mae Whitman<\/strong><\/a> and more of the Parenthood<\/em><\/a> cast have kept a close bond since the beloved series came to an end.<\/p>\n Loosely based on Ron Howard<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s 1989 movie of the same name, the NBC drama ran for six seasons from 2010 to 2015. Graham starred as wayward single mother Sarah Braverman who moves in with her parents (Craig T. Nelson<\/strong><\/a> and Bonnie Bedelia<\/strong><\/a>) in Berkeley, California, amid her divorce. Her children, Amber (Whitman) and Drew (Miles Heizer<\/strong><\/a>), adjust to life in their grandparents\u2019 guest house and bond with their extended family through all their ups and downs.<\/p>\n Dax Shepard<\/strong><\/a>, Peter Krause<\/strong><\/a>, Monica Potter<\/strong><\/a>, Sarah Ramos<\/strong><\/a>, Max Burkholder<\/strong><\/a>, Erika Christensen<\/strong><\/a> and Sam Jaeger<\/strong> <\/a>also rounded out the Braverman brood.<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s such an overwhelming energy when we\u2019re all together,\u201d Whitman told Glamour<\/em><\/a> of her fictional family in October 2014. \u201cAll of our personalities gel so well.\u201d<\/p>\n While the Scott Pilgrim vs. the World<\/em> star quickly connected with Heizer and Ramos, she couldn\u2019t help but gush over her relationship with Graham.<\/p>\n \u201cThe first word that comes to mind is life. Longtime friendships formed on the NBC series, but even more magical was the love story<\/a> that came together behind the scenes.<\/p>\n \u201cWe couldn\u2019t stop talking,\u201d the Mighty Ducks: Game Changers<\/em> star told Good Housekeeping<\/em> in December 2016, reminiscing on the early days of her romance<\/a> with Krause. \u201cNot about ourselves, but about the world and books and family. \u2026 Once we got together, there was no game play. It was like, \u2018You like me, and I like you.’\u201d<\/p>\n In her 2016 book, Talking as Fast as I Can: From Gilmore Girls to Gilmore Girls (and Everything in Between)<\/em>, Graham admitted that she didn\u2019t expect to fall for her costar. \u201cAt our age we\u2019d probably both been through \u2018showmances\u2019 that went south and made work an uncomfortable place to be,\u201d she wrote. \u201cUltimately our mutual wariness gave way \u2014 it just sort of happened.\u201d<\/p>\n Us Weekly\u00a0<\/em>confirmed in June 2022, however, that the couple quietly called it quits<\/a> one year prior.<\/p>\n
