Brian Kelley<\/strong> and Tyler Hubbard<\/strong> of Florida Georgia Line were country music<\/a>\u2019s hottest duo for more than a decade. With hits like \u201cH.O.L.Y.,\u201d \u201cTip It Back,\u201d and \u201cDirt,\u201d the pair were at the top of their careers before announcing their split.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n This \u201cThis Is How We Roll\u201d duo announced they were breaking up in early 2022, performing their last show together that September.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cFor me, it was really unexpected. But BK came to me and said, \u2018Man, I\u2019m really feeling like I want to do a solo thing. And I\u2019m like, \u2018Really?\u2019\u201d Tyler said during a May 2024 appearance on the \u201cBussin\u2019 With the Boys<\/a>\u201d podcast. \u201cWe were just getting out of our first deal. We were kind of in a sweet spot that we had worked for 10 years to get to.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Despite not fully understanding the timing, Tyler added, \u201cBut again, like, I wanted to support him. He was adamant.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Rumors had been swirling for months about tension between the \u201cCruise\u201d artists stemming from their conflicting political opinions. Tyler and his wife, Hayley Hubbard, unfollowed Brian and his wife, Brittney Kelley, during the 2020 presidential election.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI unfollowed BK for a few days while we were through this political, you know, in the middle of this election and everything going on,\u201d Tyler said during a joint appearance on SiriusXM\u2019s Exit 209 With Storme Warren. \u201cAnd, and I even called him and told him, I said, \u2018Hey buddy, I love you. And I love you a lot more in real life than on your [Instagram] Stories right now. So, I\u2019m just going to, so that\u2019s why I\u2019m unfollowing you. Nothing personal. I still love you. You\u2019re still my brother.\u2019 I just didn\u2019t want to see it every time I opened Instagram.
