Dua Lipa dreamed of headlining Glastonbury while she was writing her first album<\/p>\n
The 28-year-old singer will top the bill of the Worthy Farm festival this summer alongside Coldplay and SZA, 34 \u2013 and has now revealed it was on her wish list in 2017 as part of her obsession with \u201cdream boards\u201d and \u201cmanifestation\u201d.<\/p>\n
She told the \u2018Dish\u2019 podcast: \u201cWhen I was writing my first album \u2013 I\u2019m big into like dream boards and manifestation and whatever \u2013 and I had written it down that on my third record, I\u2019d love to headline Glastonbury.\u201d<\/p>\n
Dua also told about how she first got told she was wanted as a Glasto headliner two years ago: \u201cI got the call November 2022 at the end of my \u2018Future Nostalgia\u2019 tour. <\/p>\n
\u201cI was like coming back from Australia and I remember checking my email and it just said, \u2018Glastonbury,\u2019 and I was like, \u2018Oh, this is interesting.\u2019<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI opened the email and I just go, \u2018Oh my God!\u2019<\/p>\n
\n\u201cI can\u2019t believe what I’m reading. I just had to like refresh it a couple of times to just see that I wasn\u2019t like tripping, and I wasn\u2019t like jet lag delusion in the moment.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cIt was just the best email of all time. I don\u2019t think I\u2019ve ever \u2013 I never check my email, after that? <\/p>\n
\n\u201cNever looked at my emails ever again, because it was downhill from there. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cIt was just so surreal.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nDua also told how she ditches alcohol while on tour to stay healthy and strong.<\/p>\n
\nShe said: \u201cI guess like, once I\u2019m in the swing of things and I have like a routine and my body is really strong and healthy \u2013 it\u2019s just getting into stamina mode. \u201cThen afterwards I\u2019m fine because my body\u2019s already at a certain kind of level. \u201cBut yeah, there\u2019s like no drinking. Can’t have hot sauce.\u201d<\/p>\n
