David Beckham<\/strong><\/a> weighed in on whether or not he believed Travis Kelce<\/strong><\/a> could keep up with his girlfriend Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s superstardom.<\/p>\n The retired soccer star, 49, spoke with Jimmy Kimmel<\/strong> on Jimmy Kimmel Live<\/em>!<\/a> on Wednesday, May 8, and was asked if he ever talked to the Kansas City Chiefs tight end about the pressure of the limelight.<\/p>\n \u201cI think he can handle it,\u201d the U.K. native candidly responded. \u201cYou know, we know Taylor can definitely handle it.\u201d<\/p>\n Similar to Travis, David was known for his athletic abilities but was launched into new levels of public interest after debuting his relationship with Spice Girls alum Victoria Beckham<\/strong> in 1998.<\/p>\n Travis, 34, and Taylor went public with their relationship in September 2023 and while the athlete already had fame as an NFL player, his popularity has only skyrocketed.<\/p>\n Earlier this month, Travis revealed he had to stop having mail delivered to his home<\/a> after fans got a hold of his address and sent him excessive amounts of packages.<\/p>\n \u201cThe one thing you don\u2019t realize, that when somebody posts your house online, that everybody now has your address and people just send stuff to your house,\u201d Travis told brother Jason Kelce<\/strong> on the May 1, episode of their \u201cNew Heights\u201d podcast.<\/a> \u201cSo I literally stopped getting mail to my house. I had to stop. I had to literally tell the post office and everybody to, like, stop bringing stuff to my house.\u201d<\/p>\n Though Jason, 36, admitted that \u201cthere\u2019s some stuff that comes and it\u2019s pretty cool,\u201d Travis didn\u2019t want any of it anymore.<\/p>\n \u201cAnything sent to my house, send right back to the sender,\u201d Travis explained. \u201cSo anybody that\u2019s just sending random s\u2013t to my house, uh, it\u2019s not getting to me.\u201d<\/p>\n The revelation came months after Jason shared that his brother had to relocate due to security concerns<\/a> with his relationship with Taylor.<\/p>\n \u201c[Travis] had to completely move out of his house. People were just staying by his house,\u201d Jason said on the February 12 episode of \u201cThe Big Podcast With Shaq.\u201d \u201cI mean [for] safety reasons, [he had to move.] And the first day he moved into the new house \u2026 [in] a gated community, somebody knocks on the back window of the house.\u201d<\/p>\n Despite the obstacles that come with a high-profile romance, it doesn\u2019t seem like it\u2019s deterring the football star. A source exclusively told Life & Style<\/em> in April that during the A-list couple\u2019s private getaway in the Bahamas, Travis \u201ctold Taylor he wanted to spend the rest of his life<\/a> with her, and she told him she feels the same.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
