Miriam Webb, known on TikTok as @mirithesiren, posted her first Chick-fil-A review of a meal she had on shift this past December.<\/p>\n
Since then, Webb has posted more than 40 videos in her Chick-fil-A uniform showing viewers her free employee meals, including sandwiches, nuggets, waffle fries, and mac and cheese, many of which have hundreds of thousands of views.<\/p>\n
But Chick-fil-A found out and put a stop to that, Webb said.<\/p>\n
“I was reached out to by Chick-fil-A upper management and PR to let me know that my videos actually break a rule in our employee handbook,” she said. “Unfortunately, Chick-fil-A is not willing to make an exception for me or collab with me.”<\/p>\n
Webb was told she could continue to post videos at home, just not during her shift or in her uniform. \u201cThose videos were all posted in real time,\u201d she explains. \u201cIt’s not that I was against that idea, but that felt like there was an authenticity of me being at work.\u201d<\/p>\n
She announced to her followers on April 15 that she would no longer make content for Chick-fil-A.<\/p>\n
One day later, Webb says her DMs were flooded with messages from brands asking her to work with them but Shake Shack\u2019s message stood out the most to her. \u201cShake Shack’s owner is from St. Louis, and I’m originally from St. Louis. I’ve always loved Shake Shack and eating at Shake Shack was always like eating at home for me,\u201d she explains. <\/p>\n
On April 21, she parted ways with Chick-fil-A and posted a sponsored video eating Shake Shack that \u201cskyrocketed.\u201d Now, she and the burger chain have a long-term partnership, and she has additional sponsored partnerships with El Pollo Loco and Zaxby\u2019s.<\/p>\n
