Blake Shelton<\/strong><\/a> and Gwen Stefani\u2019s<\/strong><\/a> new song, \u201cPurple Irises,\u201d holds a special meaning for them.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201c[It] comes from the idea that when you plant something, you are planting hope and watching love grow, weathering all the different seasons of growth,\u201d she explained. \u201cWe are in this together, we planted the seeds together, and we are growing together.\u201d<\/p>\n There was a time, however, when Gwen, 54, and Blake, 47, began to grow apart.<\/p>\n \u201cA lot of their friends were really worried it would end in divorce<\/a>,\u201d spills a source. \u201cThey\u2019d been fighting a lot, and their schedules have been challenging for them.
