Nearly two months after Shay Mooney<\/strong> <\/a>revealed his 50-pound weight loss<\/a>, the country crooner still isn\u2019t used to his new physique.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s weird not recognizing yourself. I got to a place mentally and physically that I will never go again,\u201d the Dan + Shay musician<\/a>, 30, captioned a mirror selfie of his progress via Instagram<\/a> on Friday, December 2. \u201cIt matters what we eat. It matters who you spend your time with. It matters what you choose to spend your time on. I\u2019m so thankful for the people in my life that helped me make a change.\u201d<\/p>\n He added: \u201cNo one forced me into this. I wanted to change my life for me<\/a>. I\u2019ve never felt more alive. I\u2019m not looking for mediocrity \u2026 let\u2019s go find greatness.\u201d<\/p>\n Mooney\u2019s loved ones and fellow country stars quickly lauded his empowering mindset.<\/p>\n \u201cLove you brother. I\u2019m so proud of you I could cry,\u201d bandmate Dan Smyers<\/strong><\/a> wrote via Instagram comment. \u201cIn fact, I just might after watching this. Truly makes me so happy to see all your hard work paying off, not only physically, but mentally and emotionally too. Inspires me and everyone else around to become better versions of ourselves. The best is yet to come my friend.\u00a0\u2764\ufe0f\u2764\ufe0f\u2764\ufe0f<\/span>.\u201d<\/p>\n Smyers\u2019 wife, Abby Smyers<\/strong>, Jason Aldean<\/strong><\/a>, Carly Pearce<\/strong> <\/a>and more of Mooney\u2019s celebrity pals were equally proud of his progress<\/a>.\u00a0\u201cSo awesome. It\u2019s a lot of work, it\u2019s a grind. Happy for ya,\u201d former baseball player Jim Edmonds<\/strong><\/a> replied.<\/p>\n Mooney \u2014 who married Hannah Billingsley<\/strong><\/a> in 2017, with whom he shares two sons<\/a> \u2014 initially revealed earlier this year that he had dropped 50 months in five months<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cThank you guys so much for all your kind words about me looking healthy<\/a>,\u201d the Arkansas native wrote via his Instagram Story in October. \u201cReally means a lot. Been a little over 5 months I believe and I\u2019m down almost 50lbs.\u201d<\/p>\n Mooney credited his fitness transformation to \u201ceating clean,\u201d \u201cnot drinking alcohol\u201d<\/a> and \u201cwalking 7 miles a day.\u201d He added: \u201cAnd some weights. That\u2019s it! I completely changed my lifestyle and I\u2019ve never felt better physically, mentally, and spiritually. If you\u2019re looking for a sign\u2026 \u201d<\/p>\n The \u201c10,000 Hours\u201d singer is also looking forward to transforming his life in another way, as Billingsley, 31, is currently pregnant with the couple\u2019s third child<\/a>. The \u201cUnexpected\u201d podcast host responded to her husband\u2019s weight loss progress by joking via Instagram<\/a> that \u201cyour loss is my gain, literally.\u201d<\/p>\n She added on Friday: \u201cSo proud of you, baby\u2026 and proud of the example you\u2019re setting for all our boys, physically and spiritually\u00a0\ud83e\udd0d<\/span>.
