Dave Annable<\/strong> made a lasting impression on <\/span>Yellowstone <\/span><\/i><\/a>fans, despite only appearing in the series premiere. The actor exclusively tells <\/span>Life & Style <\/span><\/i>about his experience after being killed off in episode 1.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI mean, I did [know I was going to die],\u201d Dave, 44, said on the red carpet at the iHeartCountry festival<\/a> on Saturday, May 4. \u201cBut I didn\u2019t know how much fun I\u2019d have, like going to cowboy camp. I was like, wait a second, I don\u2019t want to die. This is, this is amazing.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cYou know, and then, of course, it goes on to be the No. 1 show on the planet,\u201d he laughed. Dave\u2019s wife, Odette Annable<\/strong>, chimed in saying that, despite his short-lived stint in Montana, \u201ca lot of gifts came from it.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Dave continued, \u201cI feel so lucky to be a part of that and such a special little, you know, part of, of Yellowstone. You know, once a Dutton, always a Dutton.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n While Dave was cast as John Dutton\u2019s favorite son, Lee Dutton, in the Taylor Sheridan<\/strong> drama, his character was killed off in the pilot episode. He later returned to reprise his role in a couple flashback\u2019s through the years.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI read the script and fell in love with it, but there was this other thing that I was supposed to do, and I ended up passing, saying the timing wasn\u2019t going to work,\u201d the <\/span>Brothers and Sisters <\/span><\/i>alum previously dished to The Hollywood Reporter<\/em><\/a>. \u201cAnd [Sheridan] called back and was like, \u2018What are you an idiot? You need to come out here.\u2019 So, of course, I listened, and any chance you get to work with Taylor Sheridan and Kevin Costner<\/strong> [is great]. \u2026 It was just one of the best life experiences that I\u2019ve ever had. And to have that on such a high-level project was really special.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Dave recently reunited with his former <\/span>Yellowstone <\/span><\/i>costars Luke Grimes<\/strong>, Ian Bohen<\/strong> and Jen Landon<\/strong> at the StageCoach music festival in California.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
