Ariana Grande<\/a> and <\/span>Cynthia Erivo<\/a>‘s friendship is the gift that keeps on giving!<\/span><\/p>\n After the\u00a0<\/span>Wicked<\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/em>co-stars graced the iconic steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City during Monday’s <\/span>Met Gala<\/a>, the two reunited inside the event, where they delivered a chilling performance of <\/span>Mariah Carey<\/a> and <\/span>Whitney Houston<\/a>‘s iconic 1998 duet, “When You Believe.”\u00a0The song was previously featured in Disney’s\u00a0<\/span>The Prince of Egypt<\/span><\/em>\u00a0soundtrack and won the Oscar for Best Song at the 71st Academy Awards.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n In a TikTok video shared by the “Thank You, Next” songstress on Tuesday, Grande and Erivo, 37, are shown belting their hearts out on stage, singing, “But when you’re blinded by your pain \/ Can’t see the way, get through the rain \/ A small but still, resilient voice \/ Says, help is very near, oh \/ There can be miracles \/ When you believe \/ Though hope is frail \/ It’s hard to kill \/\u00a0Who knows what miracles \/ You can achieve \/ When you believe somehow you will.”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n For the performance, both Grande and Erivo switched out of <\/span>their red carpet looks<\/a>, with Grande donning a\u00a0green and purple-hued ensemble and Erivo wearing a pink and red floral dress.<\/span><\/p>\n Grande, 30, was the surprise performer<\/a> at the fashion affair, and it’s no surprise that she called upon Erivo to help her close out the show, given <\/span>how close they’ve become through filming\u00a0<\/a>Wicked<\/a>, <\/span><\/em>which is <\/span>set to hit theaters<\/a> on Nov. 27.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n Speaking to ET at the Met Gala<\/a>, Erivo\u00a0said she’s looking forward to fans seeing “the relationship that these two women have” in the film.\u00a0Erivo and Grande star as Elphaba and Glinda, respectively, in the movie, which also stars\u00a0<\/span>Michelle Yeoh<\/a>,\u00a0<\/span>Jonathan Bailey,<\/a>\u00a0<\/span>Ethan Slater<\/a>,\u00a0<\/span>Jeff Goldblum<\/a>, and more.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n In April, ET also spoke with Yeoh, 61, who plays\u00a0Madame Morrible in the highly anticipated film adaptation, and she couldn’t help but gush over the friendships,\u00a0particularly between Grande and Erivo,\u00a0that have formed\u00a0during the two-year filming period.<\/span><\/p>\n “But Cynthia and Ariana, they’re like the yin and yang. They’re just like the perfect little couple,” Yeoh said.<\/span><\/p>\n Back in January, Erivo and Grande also commemorated their friendship by getting the words “For Good”\u00a0<\/span>tattooed on their palms<\/a>, a tribute to Glinda and Elphaba’s famous duet.<\/span><\/p>\n
