\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n The 2024 Met Gala<\/em><\/strong><\/a> is set to take place tonight (May 6) in New York City.<\/p>\n Fans from all over the world will be watching as Anna Wintour<\/strong><\/a> and her celebrity guests<\/a> arrive in style for the annual celebration \u2013 which takes place the first Monday in May.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n This year, the Met Gala will celebrate the Costume Institute\u2019s exhibition titled \u201cSleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.\u201d The official dress code is \u201cThe Garden of Time.\u201d<\/p>\n You may be wondering, what does that theme entail?<\/p>\n Andrew Bolton<\/strong>, who is the head curator of the Met in NYC, explained in Vogue<\/a>, \u201cIt is very much an ode to nature and the emotional poetics of fashion.\u201d<\/p>\n The new exhibit will highlight three of Earth\u2019s elements: land, sky, and the sea.<\/p>\n Vogue explained that the dress code is inspired by J.G. Ballard<\/strong>\u2018s short story written in the 1960s.
