Insiders are buzzing that the longtime friendship between Mariah Carey<\/strong><\/a> and Lenny Kravitz<\/strong><\/a> has evolved into something more. \u201cThere\u2019s definitely chemistry between them,\u201d says a source. \u201cThey\u2019re both single and they\u2019ve been hanging out a lot lately.\u201d<\/p>\n Mariah, 55, and Lenny, 59, were pals long before they achieved fame. As the \u201cFly Away\u201d singer recently revealed, he used to frequent the New York City sports bar where Mariah worked when they were both aspiring musicians comparing demo tapes. They\u2019ve crossed paths many times since, costarring in 2009\u2019s Precious<\/em> and more recently, attending February\u2019s Recording Academy Honors where they each collected an award. They also just received simultaneous nominations for the Rock \u2019n\u2019 Roll Hall of Fame.<\/p>\n \u201cThey bonded over both being nominated,\u201d says the source, who adds that Lenny<\/a> has \u201calways admired Mariah,\u201d and developed a crush on the Precious<\/em> set.
