Since then, Luke, 47, and Lionel, 74, have been feuding over who should fill her seat. \u201cThis has been a very stressful time for Luke and Lionel because they\u2019ve been left in the dark about so much \u2014 there was even talk producers were going to start fresh with a whole new lineup and give them the boot,\u201d the insider says. \u201cThat hasn\u2019t happened, so now the next worry is who will join the show.<\/p>\n \u201cLuke\u2019s complaining Lionel\u2019s trying to insert one of his favorites and hijack the show,\u201d the source says. \u201cLuke thinks the decision isn\u2019t up to them, it\u2019s the bosses who should decide, and he\u2019s irritated that Lionel\u2019s being so pushy behind the scenes.\u201d<\/p>\n The \u201cAll Night Long\u201d singer openly admits he wants a friendly face to join them at the judges\u2019<\/span><\/a> table. \u201cI do have my eye on at least two,\u201d Lionel has said. According to our insider, \u201cLionel is constantly putting his two cents in to sway producers and saying they should get someone like <\/span>Diana Ross, Kenny Chesney<\/b> or <\/span>Tim McGraw<\/b> \u2014 if they\u2019d agree to do it. \u201c<\/span>All of them have collaborated with Lionel<\/span><\/a> over the years and Luke thinks even if they agreed, it would put Lionel at an unfair advantage over him.\u201d<\/p>\n But producers are actually said to be welcoming the nonstop squabbling. \u201cThe bosses don\u2019t seem to mind it,\u201d dishes the source. \u201cTheir tension helps the competition on the show<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
