Tomorrow is the Met Gala, but one model won’t be attending after allegedly losing his job.<\/p>\n
Eugenio Casnighi alleges that he was fired from working the 2024 Met Gala tomorrow after upstaging Kylie Jenner at last year\u2019s ceremony. \u201cI just got fired from the Met Gala,\u201d the 26-year-old said before displaying several photos alongside Kylie. \u201cRemember me?\u201d<\/p>\n
Casnighi, who has worked the Met Gala for the past two years, alleged he\u2019s never been able to talk about the attention he received from the event because he was under an NDA. \u201cFunny enough, they fired me so I can say whatever I want now,\u201d the model said, claiming he was just given notice on Friday. \u201cThey fired me because I went viral last year.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cSo basically they said, \u2018You made it about yourself, so we can\u2019t have you work there anymore. I\u2019m sorry.’\u201d Explaining his former role as a greeter, he continued, \u201cLast year, they told me that I was going to be with Jenner all night, and I [helped] her [with] whatever she needed.\u201d<\/p>\n
Casnighi explained the unnamed modeling agency he works for and the Met Gala want models to work on the red carpet because \u201cthey want people to get noticed.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThey literally told me we picked you because we like you more than other people to be with this celebrity but when people took pictures of the actual celebrity \u2026 like Kylie Jenner and I was next to her \u2026 of course, I ended up in the picture and they blamed me.\u201d<\/p>\n
