Dua Lipa<\/a> took to the <\/span>Saturday Night Live<\/em><\/a> stage over the weekend <\/span>for her hosting debut<\/a>, and she was feeling the love from two special guests in the crowd.<\/span><\/p>\n The 28-year-old “Illusion” singer was all smiles as she came out and was greeted with a warm welcome by the Studio 8H audience — which included her parents, Anesa and Dukagjin.<\/span><\/p>\n “It’s great to be back in 30 Rock.\u00a0I actually made my US TV debut\u00a0eight years ago, downstairs on\u00a0The Tonight Show.\u00a0So this building does feel a lot\u00a0like home,” Lipa shared. “And especially tonight, because\u00a0my parents are here in the\u00a0audience.”<\/span><\/p>\n The camera cut to her parents, who were seated in the balcony and looked somewhat shy when suddenly in the spotlight.<\/span><\/p>\n “As you can see, they’re kind of cool. They love to party,” Lipa continued. “One night, I was out with my\u00a0friends and we ended up at the\u00a0club at 3 in the morning. And\u00a0who do I bump into but my\u00a0parents!”<\/span><\/p>\n “Which was embarrassing,” she continued. “Because the last thing you want\u00a0to see when you’re super high\u00a0and drunk off your ass is your\u00a0daughter.”<\/span><\/p>\n The joke made both her parents burst into laughter, and she sweetly shared her appreciation for their life-long support.<\/span><\/p>\n “But really, they’ve always been\u00a0so supportive,” she shared. “They let me move from Kosovo to London when\u00a0I was just 15 to start my\u00a0career, and now my third album\u00a0just dropped.”<\/span><\/p>\n Lipa’s album, Radical Optimism<\/em>, dropped on Friday,<\/a> just one day before her hosting gig — and the singer debuted her new lead single, “Illusion,” during her first set as musical guest.<\/span><\/p>\n Last week, NBC announced the lineup for the final two shows of the season — with\u00a0<\/span>Maya Rudolph<\/a>\u00a0set to return as host for the third time, alongside musical guest Vampire Weekend, on May 11.<\/span><\/p>\n Meanwhile,\u00a0<\/span>Jake Gyllenhaal<\/a>\u00a0will host the season finale — which will also mark his third time as host — with\u00a0<\/span>Sabrina Carpenter<\/a>\u00a0joining him as musical guest on May 18.<\/span><\/p>\n
