Get it in your inbox<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n Longtime friend of Socialite Life<\/strong> Pandora Boxx<\/a><\/strong> made a splash when we met her on RuPaul’s Drag Race<\/a><\/em><\/strong> Season two and she\u2019s continued to bring joy to drag fans everywhere not only with her looks and humor but her fabulous, funny songs like \u201cCooter\u201d,<\/a> \u201cNice Car\u201d<\/a> and \u201cKnew You Seemed Shady\u201d<\/a> (with our other friend Adam Barta) as well as the impactful \u201cDifferent\u201d.<\/a> Thanks to a successful Kickstarter campaign, Pandora is releasing her first full-length album this year.\u00a0<\/p>\n Always wanting to give her fans more, Pandora is also hoping to add a music video and visualizations for some of the tracks and has launched an Indiegogo campaign<\/a> to raise the money she needs to make her musical dreams come true (and she\u2019s got some sweet perks for you)!\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n We had the chance to chat with Pandora Boxx about her latest project and get a few hints about what we can expect from her new album.<\/p>\n What inspired you to release a full album?<\/strong><\/p>\n I’ve always loved music since I was a kid. When I was feeling alone or depressed, I’d lock myself\u00a0in my room and dance around to Madonna. In those moments, I felt such happiness. I was able to fulfill this childhood\u00a0dream of being a rockstar from my successful Kickstarter campaign. I’ll always be so grateful for that.<\/p>\n What was the process of putting together your debut album like for you?<\/strong><\/p>\n It has been a long process. Three years actually. But it’s also been fun. I was lucky to have my friend Brandon James Gwinn reach out to me about helping produce it. This album wouldn’t be the same without him. He just got what I was trying to do.<\/p>\n What was the biggest challenge?<\/strong><\/p>\n The biggest challenge was just timing and scheduling. Brandon lives in NYC and I live in LA. Also, we are both entertainers and our schedules can get hectic.<\/p>\n The songs have some titles that will make your fans smile. What is the story (if you want to share) about some of the new ones?<\/strong><\/p>\n I did reveal all of the song titles to my Kickstarter backers. But I guess I could let everyone know a few. Fans of Drag Race will certainly appreciate the song called \u201cRaspberries\u201d. There is also a track called \u201cScurvy\u201d but it’s not what people will be expecting at all.<\/p>\n I know songs are like kids\u2026do you have a favorite track on the album?<\/strong><\/p>\n They definitely are. Each song is important to me especially because I wrote all of them. They are much more personal than anything I’ve ever done. There is a track called \u201cPill\u201d and I would say that is my favorite.<\/p>\n Have you decided what song you want to make a video for yet?<\/strong><\/p>\n Yes. I do know. *wink*<\/p>\n Any teaser on the visualizations?<\/strong><\/p>\n Depending on how much I raise on my new Indiegogo campaign will kind of determine that but I’d definitely like to do some lyric videos. I’ve also seen a lot of artists do kind of like lite music videos. If that makes sense? You still get some visuals but not a full-on music video budget. They cost a lot!\u00a0<\/p>\n Do you have collaborators in mind or folks already committed to appear in the video?<\/strong><\/p>\n Not yet. I’m still working on the details of it. But the song is a celebration of being true to yourself and not caring what others think.<\/p>\n Once this album and video project is complete, what\u2019s next for you?\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Right now, my focus is on the album so we’ll have to see what comes next.<\/p>\n Do you have a special message for your fans at Socialite Life?<\/strong><\/p>\n Thank you to Socialite\u00a0Life for one because y’all have been amazingly supportive to me.
