If the news of <\/span>Now You See Me 3<\/span><\/em> wasn’t enough to appease fans, maybe the latest additions will do the (magic) trick.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n On Thursday, Lionsgate announced that Academy Award nominee\u00a0<\/span>Rosamund Pike<\/a>\u00a0will join the cast in a pivotal but undisclosed role for the upcoming sequel, which comes more than a decade after the original film first premiered. Pike, 45, most recently appeared in Emerald Fennell’s <\/span>Saltburn <\/span><\/em>and is currently starring in Prime Video’s <\/span>The Wheel of Time<\/span><\/em>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n “Pike joins the incredible ensemble as the new film returns audiences to the thieving illusionists known as the Four Horseman while introducing audiences to a new generation of magicians,” the studio said in a press release.<\/span><\/p>\n The <\/span>Pride and Prejudice<\/span><\/em> actress joins previously announced newcomers like <\/span>The Holdovers<\/span><\/em>‘ breakout star Dominic Sessa, Justice Smith and <\/span>Ariana Greenblatt<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n It’s expected that original cast members\u00a0<\/span>Woody Harrelson<\/a>, <\/span>Morgan Freeman<\/a>, <\/span>Isla Fisher<\/a>, <\/span>Jesse Eisenberg<\/a> and <\/span>Dave Franco<\/a>\u00a0will reprise their respective roles.<\/span><\/p>\n Notably, Fisher, 48, did not participate in <\/span>Now You See Me 2<\/span><\/em> and was replaced by <\/span>Lizzy Caplan<\/a>, whose status for the third film is unclear.
