Spring into love! Tyler Hynes<\/strong><\/a> may star as the romantic lead in Hallmark\u2019s upcoming film A Picture of Her<\/em> \u2014 but he credits his chemistry with Rhiannon Fish<\/strong> for bringing the story to life.<\/p>\n \u201cThere\u2019s something very present about [Rhiannon]. There was never a moment where I was looking at her and doing things in the scene where she wasn\u2019t right there with me,\u201d Hynes, 36, exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em> about filming alongside his A Picture of Her<\/em> costar, 32. \u201cI could do things and she would be right there with me. It wouldn\u2019t be thrown wouldn\u2019t get discombobulated, she would just be present with me. Once I taste a bit of that with another actor, I go, \u2018OK, now we can really have some fun because we can really start to play around here and try to find the magic and the in-between moments<\/a>, which I think is where all the juicy stuff is.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n The film \u2014 which premieres Saturday, March 25, on Hallmark and serves\u00a0as part of the network\u2019s Spring Into Love rollout<\/a> \u2014 follows Hynes as a celebrity photographer named Jake. Unenthused by the lack of creativity in his current job, he snaps a photo of a stranger named Beth (Fish) without her knowledge. After the two meet and form an instant connection, the picture finds its way to the cover of a magazine and Beth makes it her mission to find the man behind the lens. Jake, meanwhile, has to decide if he should come clean to the girl he\u2019s falling for.<\/p>\n \u201cThis film could have been a different movie had it not been [Rhiannon] in that role,\u201d Hynes told Us<\/em> of what the Home and Away<\/em> star brought to the part of Beth. \u201cSeeing it up close and looking at what she\u2019s doing in this movie, she is really doing us a service. And I can\u2019t say enough about her. She\u2019s a really talented human being and\u00a0just as lovely as you would think she is.\u201d<\/p>\n Beyond the opportunity to work alongside Fish, the\u00a0Letterkenny<\/em> alum\u00a0<\/b>explained that the light-hearted \u201cwarm\u201d undertones of A Picture of Her<\/em> felt\u00a0fulfilling\u00a0<\/b>after his experience working on Hallmark\u2019s<\/a> zany Christmas comedy Three Wiseman and a Baby<\/em>, and the network\u2019s heartfelt holiday drama, Time to Come Home for Christmas<\/em>. Both festive films aired in December 2022.<\/p>\n \u201cWhat was interesting about this [film] was that essentially it felt like a good time to do something that was scratching a certain itch that I don\u2019t think I had scratched in a while as far as making one of these movies<\/a>,\u201d he shared.<\/p>\n Hynes was also drawn to the modern-day framing of the story, which sees Beth become an overnight sensation based off a single photograph.<\/p>\n \u201c[I loved] the idea that [the] art and simplicity of authentic beauty and the finer details [are things] the world still cares about. That the world is still moved by that,\u201d he shared, noting that playing a character who rediscovers his artistry was \u201ca real nice thing\u201d and felt \u201ctrue to life.\u201d<\/p>\n While Hynes\u2019 time as Jake may have \u201cscratched a romantic itch\u201d for the actor, that doesn\u2019t mean he isn\u2019t up for reuniting with his Three Wisemen and a Baby<\/em> costars \u2014 and good friends \u2014 Paul Campbell<\/strong><\/a> and Andrew Walker<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n The holiday comedy was written by Campbell, 43, and fellow Hallmark star Kimberly Sustad<\/strong><\/a>. Following its premiere, the seasonal comedy became the most-watched movie on the network of 2022 \u2014 including both Christmas and non-Christmas movies \u2014 and broke records reaching back to 2019.<\/p>\n Hynes told Us<\/em> that the BFFs are \u201cjust scratching the surface\u201d when it comes to what they could create<\/a> together, adding that he\u2019d like to see them \u201cput behind different characters\u201d and just \u201cwatch that stew come together in different ways.\u201d<\/p>\n For now, the Unexpected Christmas <\/em>star is ready for the world to experience a modern-day meet-cute with A Picture of Her<\/em>, and remains grateful for his experiences at Hallmark \u2014 and the people who continue to support him along the way.<\/p>\n \u201cEverybody is absolutely lovely. I think it\u2019s as close as you can come to feeling like a family<\/a> that is supportive,\u201d he gushed of the network. \u201cAnd that just sort of bookends what is an absolutely enormous pleasure, which is the people who watch these movies.
