Less than a year after <\/span>ET exclusively reported<\/a> Sam Asghari filed for divorce, Britney Spears has responded and settled the matter with a stipulated judgment.<\/span><\/p>\n The couple, who <\/span>tied the knot in June 2022<\/a>, had a <\/span>prenuptial agreement<\/a> in place. According to documents obtained by ET, Asghari will not receive any financial compensation or spousal support as part of the settlement.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The 42-year-old pop icon and the 29-year-old fitness trainer married 14 months before <\/span>Asghari filed for divorce<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n TMZ<\/a> was the first to report on the couple’s divorce settlement.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The divorce proceedings took a dramatic turn last August when <\/span>Asghari accused Spears of infidelity<\/a>, leading to a confrontation and his subsequent departure from their shared residence.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Spears and Asghari have spoken positively about their time together after the split. Spears referred to Asghari as “a gift from God” in <\/span>her memoir<\/a>, <\/span>The Woman in Me<\/i><\/a>, released in October, while Asghari described their relationship as “a blessing” earlier this year.<\/span><\/p>\n This marks Spears’ third marriage. She shares two sons with her first husband, Kevin Federline, and her second marriage to childhood friend Jason Alexander was swiftly annulled.<\/span><\/p>\n The finalization of the divorce settlement is pending a judge’s approval.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n More than\u00a0<\/span>two years after the pop princess’ conservatorship was terminated<\/a>\u00a0and nearly a year since her ex, Sam Asghari,\u00a0<\/span>filed for divorce<\/a>, a <\/span>source told ET<\/a> Britney is looking to her closest personal relationships and, as her song goes, possibly break the ice.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n “Britney wants to prioritize taking care of herself and reestablish a relationship with her family, including her kids,” a source told ET. “This is a top priority of hers and she would love to heal things and get to a place where things can be healthy and consistent.”<\/span><\/p>\n Adds the source, “Britney’s relationship with her mom is up and down, but ultimately she wants to work through their issues with the intention of moving forward in a positive way.” In May 2023, Britney confirmed she reconnected with her mom, Lynne, who visited<\/span>\u00a0her for the first time in three years<\/a>, according to the singer.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n As for Britney’s relationship with her younger sister, Jamie Lynn,\u00a0<\/span>following their public feuding in 2022<\/a>, the source said it is “also a work in progress and goes through changes and different waves of emotions.” During her appearance on\u00a0<\/span>I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here<\/span><\/em>, Jamie Lynn said\u00a0<\/span>she had spoken to Britney before going on the show<\/a>. “We love each other,” she said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Meanwhile, Britney and her sons, Sean, 18, and Jayden, 17, have been physically distant since she\u00a0<\/span>consented to ex-husband Kevin Federline relocating to Hawaii<\/a>\u00a0with them last year. At the time, a source told ET that “Britney loves and has always supported her children and wants them to be happy.”<\/span><\/p>\n However, prior to their move, Kevin’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan,\u00a0<\/span>told ET he did not think there had been<\/a>\u00a0“any exercise of visitation or custody in the last year.” The boys had\u00a0<\/span>not attended her wedding to Sam in June 2022<\/a>. Three months later in an interview with\u00a0<\/span>60 Minutes Australia<\/span><\/em>, Kevin revealed\u00a0<\/span>their sons had decided not to see her.<\/a>\u00a0But, while\u00a0<\/span>speaking to ITV News around the same time<\/a>, Jayden expressed his belief that their relationship could be repaired. “I 100 percent\u00a0think it can be fixed, of course,” Britney’s younger son said. “I think it’s just going to take a lot of time and effort… I really want to see her again.”<\/span><\/p>\n Despite their\u00a0<\/span>strained relationship<\/a>\u00a0when it came time to pen her memoir,\u00a0<\/span>The Woman in Me<\/span><\/em>,\u00a0<\/span>she dedicated the book to them<\/a>. “For my boys,” she wrote, “who are the loves of my life.”<\/span><\/p>\n
