Pete Wentz<\/strong><\/a> is looking back at his divorce from Ashlee Simpson<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n The 43-year-old Fall Out Boy<\/strong><\/a> bassist and the 38-year-old singer first started dating in 2009 and married in May 2008. After almost three years of marriage, Ashlee<\/strong> filed for divorce in February 2011, citing \u201cirreconcilable differences.\u201d Together, they share 14-year-old son Bronx<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n In an new interview, Pete<\/strong> shared some rare comments on his divorce from Ashlee<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n At the same time Pete<\/strong> and Ashlee<\/strong> were splitting up, Fall Out Boy<\/strong> announced they were taking a hiatus after \u201cOne Direction-level\u201d of success.<\/p>\n \u201cMy life was just like\u2026 a bomb had gone off in it,\u201d Pete<\/strong> shared with Nylon<\/a><\/em>. \u201cYou\u2019ve atrophied all of these life skills. I was like, \u2018Oh. You have to figure out how to be happy as an adult.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n Shortly after his split from Ashlee<\/strong>, Pete<\/strong> started dating Meagan Camper<\/strong><\/a>. The two are still together and share son Saint<\/strong><\/a>, 8, and daughter Marvel<\/strong><\/a>, 4.<\/p>\n Ashlee<\/strong> married Evan Ross<\/strong><\/a> in 2014 and they share daughter Jagger<\/strong><\/a>, 7, and son Ziggy<\/strong><\/a>, 2.<\/p>\n Now that Fall Out Boy<\/strong> is back together, Pete <\/strong>said he\u2019s enjoying the bands current success, but admitted that getting back on the road has become difficult as his focus is more on his family.<\/p>\n \u201cI was like, I don\u2019t really know if I want to tour anymore,\u201d Pete <\/strong>recalled. \u201cThe mental part of leaving is much more difficult.\u201d<\/p>\n However, Pete<\/strong> did say that is now inspired more than ever to chance on everything.<\/p>\n \u201cWhy don\u2019t you just do the s\u2013t you want to do?\u201d Pete <\/strong>said. \u201cLife is so short, and it\u2019s so long, that maybe you should try crazy s\u2013t because it will break you out of the feeling of nihilism.\u201d<\/p>\n Earlier this year, one of Pete<\/strong>\u2018s Fall Out Boy<\/strong> band mates announced they were taking a break from the band<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
