And their product images are a little, uh, excessively icy.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n How did it come to this? What kicked off this arms race of increasingly frosty phones? I have to assume things started innocently enough, but these RGB-riddled things are pretty squarely aimed at gamers \u2014 I\u2019d guess it didn\u2019t take long for these product shots to snowball<\/em> into the wildly unrealistic pictures on Amazon today.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n In this scenario I\u2019ve invented, this Trakxy Magnetic Phone Cooler for Gaming<\/a> is what our patient zero would look like. The tasteful use of a blue phone and blue highlights circling the fan tells me all I need to know about this magnetically-attached fan. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n Some mild frost here and some icicles. Maybe a bit excessive, but I don\u2019t think I\u2019d look at this lavender-colored puck<\/a> and correctly guess its purpose otherwise, so it gets a pass.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Of course they have them for iPads<\/a>, too. At first glance, this picture is pretty harmless. Until you look at the digital display. Is Teesso claiming this thing will drop your tablet to five below zero? I\u2019m not sure I want that! <\/p>\n<\/div>\n Here\u2019s where things really start to go downhill. Black Shark claims<\/a> this will drop your phone\u2019s temperature by \u201cup to 35\u00b0C.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/div>\n At least this one<\/a> comes with finger warmers. Very considerate.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Like the low-opacity snowflake pattern overlaid on this one<\/a>. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n And now, here is the final boss. The phone cooler to end all phone coolers.
