The \u2018You Give Love a Bad Name\u2019 rocker, 62, was hit by speculation his partner Dorothea Hurley was noticeably absent from the red carpet showing of Hulu film \u2018Thank You Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story\u2019 on Thursday (25.04.24) after he recently admitted that he hadn\u2019t \u201cbeen a saint\u201d during their 34-year marriage.<\/p>\n
But a representative for the singer \u2013 real name John Francis Bongiovi Jr \u2013 has said her absence had nothing to do with his admission and stated the 61-year-old karate teacher wasn\u2019t able to make it as she had to quarantine after testing positive for Covid.<\/p>\n
They told Page Six on Saturday (27.04.24): \u201cAs of this morning, she\u2019s feeling well and recovered.\u201d<\/p>\n
A source also told the outlet Jon was \u201csuper sad\u201d his wife couldn\u2019t make the screening.<\/p>\n
\nHe tested positive for Covid in 2021 and a year later told the Star Tribune contracting the illness made him realise \u201chow volatile we are\u201d and \u201chow fragile life is\u201d.<\/p>\n
\nJon added: \u201cIt didn\u2019t matter if you were young or old, American or Egyptian, no matter who you were or where you were from, the Covid-19 pandemic affected you.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nHe also stated he and his family were \u201cdouble vaxed\u201d.<\/p>\n
\nJon raised eyebrows when he said about his marriage during a chat with The Independent: \u201cThese are all the wonderful clich\u00e9s of rock stardom. <\/p>\n
\n\u201cIt\u2019s about never lying about having been a saint, but not being a fool enough to (mess) up the home life, either.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nJon has also praised Dorothea\u2019s tolerance for his infidelity, about which he wrote in his 1993 hit track \u2018Bed of Roses\u2019.<\/p>\n
\nHe sings on the tune: \u201cNow as you close your eyes \/ Know I\u2019ll be thinking about you \/ While my mistress she calls me \/ To stand in her spotlight again.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nJon has been married to Dorothea since 1989 and the couple have four children \u2013 Stephanie, 30, Jesse, 29, Jake, 21, and 20-year-old Romeo.<\/p>\n
\nThe rocker has also told \u2018Good Morning America\u2019 \u201cevery day is a challenge\u201d with his wife.<\/p>\n
\nHe said last week on the show: \u201cThe magic for me has just been growing together with Dorothea. Every day is a challenge and a change.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cBut if you\u2019re growing together, hopefully things will work out.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
