Keke Palmer<\/strong><\/a> and SZA<\/strong><\/a> are teaming up to star in a new buddy comedy movie produced by Issa Rae<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Though the project is currently untitled, Rap Sh!t<\/em> director Lawrence Lamont<\/strong> is set to direct, and the screenplay will be written by Rap Sh!t<\/em> showrunner Syreeta Singleton<\/strong>, according to a Deadline<\/em><\/a> report published on Friday, April 26.<\/p>\n

In addition to starring in the film, Palmer, 30, will also serve as executive producer through her Big Boss company, while SZA (real name Sol\u00e1na Imani Rowe) will make her first feature-film acting debut.<\/p>\n

Palmer confirmed the news via Instagram<\/a> on Friday, reposting a screenshot of the Deadline<\/em> headline.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tNickelodeon has been home to childhood hits for decades \u2014 and kids growing up in the 2000s will never forget the network\u2019s leading ladies. From Amanda Bynes, Emma Roberts and\u00a0Keke Palmer to Jamie Lynn Spears and Miranda Cosgrove, women had a major presence on Nick from 2000 to the mid-2010s. \u201cI CAN\u2019T WAIT!!!\u201d the former Nickelodeon star captioned the snap, which garnered tons of comments from fans and fellow celebs.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis [is] lowkey the film of my dreams,\u201d wrote one Instagram user, while stand-up comedian Tony Baker wrote, \u201cI WANNA BE IN THIS.\u201d<\/p>\n

A separate social media user added, \u201cHere for it! Y\u2019all already got great chemistry.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Hustlers<\/em> star and SZA, 34, previously graced the Saturday Night Live<\/em> stage together in December 2022 when Palmer hosted and SZA served as the musical guest.<\/p>\n

The casting news comes after Palmer hinted<\/a> at stepping away from the spotlight in an interview with Teen Vogue<\/em><\/a> in January, nearly one year after she welcomed son Leo<\/a> with ex Darius Jackson<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
