\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n Florence Welch<\/strong><\/a> is offering some insight into her new song with Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a>, \u201cFlorida!!!\u201d<\/p>\n The track appears on Taylor<\/strong>\u2018s 11th album The Tortured Poets Department<\/em>. \u201cFlorida!!!\u201d is Florence & The Machine<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s first collaboration with Taylor<\/strong>.<\/p>\n In a recent interview, Florence<\/strong> shared her thoughts on fans\u2019 response to the song.<\/p>\n Keep reading to find out more\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI almost didn\u2019t think of the scale of it,\u201d she told Vogue<\/a><\/em>. \u201cThere\u2019s the sort of bigness of [Taylor Swift the phenomenon], and then there\u2019s the Taylor I spend time with in the studio, who is just the sweetest and most down to earth.\u201d<\/p>\n On writing and recording \u201cFlorida!!!\u201d with the hitmaker, Florence<\/strong> expressed her enthusiasm for the chance to work with Taylor<\/strong>.<\/p>\n \u201cWe had such a fun time. And then when it came out I was like, \u2018Oh, s\u2013t!\u2019\u201d she shared. <\/p>\n Florence<\/strong> also described the narrative that inspired \u201cFlorida!!!\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI think I was coming up with this idea of what happens when your life doesn\u2019t fit or the choices you\u2019ve made catch up to you and you\u2019re surrounded by these harsh consequences and judgment and circumstances did not lead you to where you thought you would be? And you just want to escape from everything you\u2019ve ever known. Is there a place you could go?\u201d she explained.<\/p>\n Florence<\/strong> continued, \u201cPeople have these crimes that they commit; where do they immediately skip town and go to? They go to Florida. They try to reinvent themselves, have a new identity, blend in. I think when you go through a heartbreak, there\u2019s a part of you that thinks, \u2018I want a new name. I want a new life. I don\u2019t want anyone to know where I\u2019ve been or know me at all.\u2019 And so that was the jumping off point behind where would you go to reinvent yourself and blend in?
