NCIS: Hawai\u2019i<\/em> <\/a>is saying goodbye to its TV ohana after three seasons, Us Weekly<\/em> can confirm.<\/p>\n

The CBS series was canceled on Friday, April 26, ahead of its season 3 finale, which will now serve as the series sendoff. NCIS: Hawai\u2019i<\/em> will air part 1 of his finale on Monday, April 29, with part 2 airing on Monday, May 6.<\/p>\n

The Hawaii-based series premiered in 2021 as a spinoff of NCIS<\/em><\/a>, which is currently in season 21.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tAs networks make decisions about their programming, Us Weekly will continue to track what has been renewed and which TV shows have been canceled. Slow Horses was the first show to score a renewal in 2024. In early January, Apple TV+ picked up the series for a fifth season, which will be based on Mick [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The island-centered show followed Special Agent in Charge Jane Tennant, played by Vanessa Lachey<\/strong><\/a>, and her team of elite naval criminal agents on the island of Oahu. (It was the first NCIS<\/em> spinoff with a female lead.)<\/p>\n

The show also stars Noah Mills<\/strong> as Jesse Boone, Alex Tarrant<\/strong> as Kai Holman, Yasmine Al-Bustami<\/strong> as Lucy Tara and Jason Antoon<\/strong> as Ernie Malik. Tori Anderson<\/strong> plays FBI agent Kate Whistler, who works closely with NCIS.<\/p>\n

NCIS: Los Angeles<\/em> alum LL Cool J<\/strong> joined the cast for season 3<\/a>, reprising his role as Sam Hanna.<\/p>\n

Ahead of the cancellation news, Antoon, 52, exclusively told Us Weekly<\/em><\/a> how much he enjoyed being part of the greater NCIS family.<\/p>\n

\u201c[It\u2019s the] coolest. Just being part of that family and being part of television history, a little bit of it, so far beyond [cool],\u201d Antoon said earlier this month. \u201cHaving a little percentage of that is being part of that history is pretty phenomenal. It\u2019s pretty exciting and historic and to be a part of that, it\u2019s so cool.\u201d<\/p>\n

The actor noted that the \u201cchemistry of these characters is really what you\u2019re watching\u201d on all of the spinoffs as well as NCIS<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean it\u2019s a procedural show, but it\u2019s really about what these people do together<\/a> to solve these crimes and the chemistry within those characters and the family that they create them,\u201d Antoon explained. \u201cAnd obviously in Hawaii it\u2019s ohana and joining that has been really awesome, such a gift and I\u2019m so grateful to be a part of it all.\u201d<\/p>\n

At the time, he was staying optimistic about Hawai\u2019i<\/em> coming back for season 4. \u201cHopefully we can get renewed and continue [the story] from our side, from the Hawaiian side,\u201d Antoon told Us<\/em>. \u201cFingers crossed.\u201d<\/p>\n

He confessed, \u201cI think we\u2019d all be very shocked and saddened if it didn\u2019t happen.\u201d However, Antoon revealed that no matter the outcome he will always have a bond with his costars<\/a>.<\/p>\n
