What happens in the fantasy suite doesn\u2019t stay in the fantasy suite. After declaring that he wasn\u2019t planning to sleep with any of his finalists<\/a>, Zach Shallcross<\/strong><\/a> admitted to having sex with Gabi Elnicki<\/strong><\/a> during his second overnight date.<\/p>\n The Monday, March 20, episode of The Bachelor<\/em> began with Zach explaining his intentions for \u201csex week.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt was at this time with Rachel that everything turned upside down.<\/a> You got your heart ripped out of your chest. How scared are you that that could happen again?\u201d Jesse Palmer<\/strong> <\/a>asked the 26-year-old lead, referring to season 19 Bachelorette Rachel Recchia<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n Zach noted that it felt \u201cterrifying\u201d to go into overnight dates again, explaining: \u201cIt\u2019s the last thing I\u2019d ever want to happen. \u2026 You will learn a lot about someone \u2014 regardless \u2014 for better or for worse and unfortunately, I learned for the worse at that time. I don\u2019t really feel that with these women, but it\u2019s always in the back of your head that something could happen. I didn\u2019t expect it from Rachel. \u2026 Trust the gut, trust the heart.\u201d<\/p>\n The host was surprised when Zach informed him that he was trying to follow Sean Lowe\u2019s lead and not have sex on the show. \u201c[It\u2019s] not how I imagine how a healthy engagement should start,\u201d the California native noted.<\/p>\n In a confessional, Zach added: \u201cWhat feels right to me is not to explore sexual connections with three different women before falling in love. When sex is involved, it can cause so many additional hurdles and real feelings are at stake. Now don\u2019t get me wrong, it\u2019s difficult because I have a physical connection with [Ariel Frenkel<\/strong><\/a>, Kaity Biggar<\/a><\/strong> and Gabi].\u201d<\/p>\n Ariel\u2019s overnight was up first and she was clearly shocked by Zach\u2019s decision not to be intimate, but after some heavy making out, they resisted temptations.<\/p>\n \u201cMy relationship with Ariel is so much stronger and I have so much more clarity. This was a very important night for us,\u201d he explained. \u201cI came into this week not wanting to involve sex and with Ariel, it was more difficult than I could have ever imagined. But we both agreed on it and it was very important to just have conversations and not have sex involved. I think it was the right decision.\u201d<\/p>\n Gabi was up next and had an emotional day portion of her date, opening up about experiencing infidelity in the past.<\/p>\n \u201cIn previous relationships, I was chosen second. So not seeing you for so long and being the second fantasy suite, I was like, \u2018Oh, I feel very second again.\u2019 It\u2019s an order, it doesn\u2019t even matter. It just stressed me out for no reason,\u201d she said. \u201cMy mind just runs to like, \u2018You\u2019re not good enough and you\u2019re second.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n After Zach is able to comfort Gabi and assure her that the order of the dates doesn\u2019t matter, she admitted she\u2019s \u201cfalling in love\u201d with him. When she\u2019s let in on the \u201cno sex\u201d plan, however, she\u2019s a bit disappointed.<\/p>\n \u201cDid I think I was going to get engaged with someone I never had sex with?\u201d she asked. \u201cProbably not \u2026 but we\u2019re gonna work on it later.\u201d<\/p>\n Joking that she wouldn\u2019t \u201cseduce\u201d him, the twosome headed into the fantasy suite.<\/p>\n \u201cWaking up this morning, I am feeling a lot of incredible feelings. Last night was really important for us, having that special time to be alone together was huge for our relationship,\u201d Zach told the cameras. \u201cThe whole night was a very passionate night for Gabi and I, and it was really special, but my whole perspective on how I thought the week was going to go changed because something really special between us happened in the fantasy suite and now I feel like I\u2019m holding in a secret.\u201d<\/p>\n Jesse is called in to give Zach a hug \u2014 and someone to confess to.<\/p>\n \u201cWe both agreed and wanted to have sex together,\u201d he explained. \u201cIt was very special, it was important and it was both what we both wanted and needed for the relationship. I feel terrible because, obviously, I\u2019ve gone against my word and I have fears with how Kaity would feel, how would Ariel feel. \u2026 I have a guilt about the whole week now.\u201d<\/p>\n Ahead of his date with Kaity, Zach visited Gabi to let her know that he\u2019s going to be honest with the other two women about what happened.<\/p>\n \u201cI do feel like my trust was broken because I do feel like it was between us and now it\u2019s between us and everyone else,\u201d she said in a confessional.<\/p>\n During their discussion, however, Gabi tried to appear unbothered. He subsequently said he was falling in love with her. \u201cYou\u2019re f\u2014king special and I\u2019m falling in love with you,\u201d he told her.<\/p>\n On his date with Kaity, he explained his original plan and admitted \u201ca lot has changed\u201d and \u201cevolved.\u201d Zach then told her that he had sex with one of the other women.<\/p>\n \u201cI knew going into this that that is something that could potentially happen,\u201d she responded. \u201cIt sucks, obviously, to think about it. \u2026 I just figured that was the case, but you just telling me it, like, confirming [what happened] \u2014 I get that you wanted to tell me and I know you\u2019re saying that because you respect me, but I honestly, just, like, could have went without hearing that. \u2026 I\u2019m not going to pretend like I\u2019m happy. It\u2019s weird. \u2026 It\u2019s going to take me a minute.\u201d<\/p>\n In an interview, Kaity, who said she was falling in love with the sales exec after their hometown date, added that she felt \u201ccrushed\u201d and didn\u2019t get why he was apologizing. \u201cHe says sorry, like, why are you sorry? You\u2019re not sorry you did it, like, what are you sorry for? You\u2019re sorry for the way that I\u2019m feeling? Well, you know I would feel this way,\u201d she said. \u201cYou know I wouldn\u2019t be like, \u2018Hey, give me a high five, pal!\u2019 I\u2019m really not OK right now.\u201d<\/p>\n Kaity let Zach know that she wished he kept what happened with the other women to himself. While he tried to assure her that he could \u201creally see it\u201d being \u201cus at the end of this,\u201d Kaity was still upset going into the night, telling a producer she felt \u201cso f\u2014king confused\u201d and \u201cdistanced\u201d from Zach.<\/p>\n \u201cHow am I supposed to go into tonight when I\u2019m not happy?\u201d she asked, sobbing. \u201cHeartbreak doesn\u2019t feel good but this doesn\u2019t feel good either.\u201d<\/p>\n Kaity ultimately stayed and told Zach that they could get through the setback after he explained his issue with keeping secrets.<\/p>\n \u201cYou make this worth it. \u2026 You make me feel, like, some real special way,\u201d he told her. \u201cI can\u2019t even put it into words, to be honest.\u201d<\/p>\n At the rose ceremony, Zach told the three women that he \u201cmade mistakes\u201d and felt like a \u201cfailure\u201d during the week. He subsequently gave roses to Kaity and Gabi, sending Ariel home from Thailand.
