A honky-tonk romance! Luke Combs<\/strong><\/a> has a forever fan in his wife, Nicole Combs<\/strong> (n\u00e9e Hocking) \u2014 and it\u2019s been documented in the country artist\u2019s songs.<\/p>\n The \u201cBeer Never Broke My Heart\u201d crooner<\/a> and Nicole became friends through their mutual acquaintances shortly after she moved to Nashville in 2014. Two years later, the relationship changed when the pair ran into each other at a songwriters\u2019 festival in Florida.<\/p>\n \u201cI didn\u2019t have anything going on when we met,\u201d Luke recalled during a March 2020 joint appearance on the \u201cCouple Things With Shawn Johnson and Andrew East<\/a>\u201d podcast. \u201cI didn\u2019t have a record deal or a publishing deal or anything.\u201d<\/p>\n Nicole, who was working for Broadcast Music Inc. (BMI) at the event, remembered making the first move.<\/p>\n \u201cI was leaving a songwriters\u2019 round and he was walking up late to it, and I was just like, \u2018Hey, come hang out with us, why are you by yourself?\u2019\u201d the Florida Gulf Coast University alum explained.<\/p>\n Luke laughed as he detailed his \u201cbad\u201d outfit choice for the occasion. \u201cI was wearing camo gym shorts from Walmart \u2026 classy, classy stuff,\u201d he joked. \u201cAnd, like, the oldest T-shirt that I owned, probably.\u201d<\/p>\n The \u201cShe Got the Best of Me\u201d singer<\/a>\u2019s ensemble, however, didn\u2019t deter their budding romance. In fact, a few months into their relationship, Luke revealed he\u2019d previously written his hit song \u201cBeautiful Crazy\u201d about Nicole, which only strengthened their connection.<\/p>\n The Florida native has since been the inspiration behind many of Luke\u2019s tracks, including \u201cBetter Together\u201d and \u201cNothing Like You.\u201d<\/p>\n Following their August 2020 nuptials<\/a>, the two-time CMA Awards Entertainer of the Year winner again paid homage to his and Nicole\u2019s love story by featuring moments from their life in his April 2021 music video for \u201cForever After All<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n Less than one year later, the couple announced that they were expecting their first child together<\/a>. Their son, Tex, arrived in June 2022, just in time for Father\u2019s Day.<\/p>\n \u201cMe and @nicolejcombs are over the moon in love with this little guy. Mama and baby are healthy and we\u2019re back home now with family,\u201d Luke wrote via Instagram at the time<\/a>. \u201cLife is good.
