When Travis Kelce<\/strong> told Vanity Fair<\/em>\u2019s Tom Kludt<\/strong> that he wanted to get \u201cout from under the helmet,\u201d<\/a> he meant it. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end is still doing noteworthy things with his protective headgear in place (two consecutive Super Bowl wins, three overall), but off the field, the spotlight has never shone brighter on him than now, while he\u2019s dating<\/a> Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a> and taping a host spot<\/a> on the Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?<\/em> spin-off Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?<\/em><\/p>\n In an interview with Extra<\/em> published Thursday<\/a>,<\/em> the NFL star shared his excitement for doing \u201csomething that I haven\u2019t done before\u201d with the hosting gig. Make no mistake, though: Football and the Chiefs are Kelce\u2019s chief concern.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m every bit as motivated to get back and win another Super Bowl,\u201d he said. \u201cThat\u2019ll always be my number one job until I retire.\u201d<\/p>\n Swift may have helped boost Kelce\u2019s profile beyond football enthusiasts (that 400% spike in Kelce\u2019s jersey sales<\/a> after her first appearance at a game wasn\u2019t a coincidence), but the 34-year-old said that he\u2019s never had a problem being the center of attention.<\/p>\n \u201cI think it was all the home videos my mom used to have with the old camcorder, the handheld joint, at the house,\u201d Kelce said. \u201cI just always felt comfortable with the camera on me and the lights on me. Sure enough, I love a good challenge. I get excited for a challenge.\u201d<\/p>\n Though he said \u201cI don\u2019t think I\u2019d ever do another reality show,\u201d calling his stint as the Bachelor<\/em>-esque love interest on Catching Kelce<\/em> \u201cmy past,\u201d he suggested that maybe brother Jason Kelce<\/strong> and wife Kylie Kelce<\/strong> could hire a camera crew of their own now Jason has retired from the NFL. He also reflected on his relationship with Jason, specifically the support and example he’s offered the athlete over the years.<\/p>\n “It’s just been so, really, all throughout my life,\u201d he said. \u201cIt started as a young kid and really understanding the value of family and what it can do for you, and it injected confidence and excitement in my life and I’ve been so fortunate. I’ve been able to just follow his footsteps through life into the football world. And then, who knows what happens after that?\u201d<\/p>\n For now, Travis has taken advantage of his time during the off-season. He and Swift recently had a seaside getaway with Gigi Hadid<\/strong> and Bradley Cooper<\/strong><\/a>, and he’ll reportedly join her<\/a> on some of her European tour dates when her Eras Tour resumes in May, before he has to report for pre-season training.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
