Proud mom! <\/span>1000-Lb Sisters<\/span><\/i><\/a> star <\/span>Amy Slaton<\/b><\/a> shares sons Gage and Glenn with <\/span>estranged husband <\/span>Michael Halterman<\/b><\/a>.<\/b> Learn more about her family below!<\/b><\/p>\n The reality star gave birth to baby No. 1 in November 2020, one year after marrying Michael. She gushed over her \u201cmiracle\u201d boy after his arrival via C-section.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWhen he started crying, I started crying. I already love Gage so much. This is a miracle,\u201d she told <\/span>People<\/span><\/i><\/a>, joking that her son \u201ccame out mooning the doctor.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Amy announced that she was pregnant again with baby No. 2, another boy, in early January 2022. She shared a sweet photo of Gage wearing a shirt that said, \u201cI\u2019m going to be a big brother 2022!\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The Kentucky resident gave birth to her second son, Glenn, on July 8, 2022. \u201cWelcome Glenn Allen Halterman,\u201d she wrote via <\/span>Instagram<\/span><\/a>, sharing several photos of the newborn. One sweet picture captured Glenn meeting Gage for the first time.<\/span><\/p>\n Before welcoming Glenn, Amy revealed via YouTube that they originally planned to name their newborn John Allen.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWe are overjoyed to add to our family. Gage is learning how to hold a baby,\u201d Amy added via Instagram along with a photo of the toddler cradling a stuffed toy.<\/span><\/p>\n In January 2023, Amy opened up about her home life with the children in an interview with <\/span>E! News.<\/span><\/a>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThe best part is getting to see them interact with each other and get to know each other,\u201d she explained. \u201cThe worst part is when I\u2019m home alone with the two of them, and they both start crying at the same time. I don\u2019t know which one to give my attention to first.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Since Gage is \u201clearning how to be a big brother\u201d to Glenn, the mom of two gushed about how her eldest son \u201cloves to teach Glenn how to do things, or he\u2019ll feed him.\u201d However, she joked that it \u201call depends on [Gage\u2019s] mood.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cThe pregnancy was overall great,\u201d the reality TV star added before revealing a few difficulties along the way. \u201cThere were a few hiccups you will see play out this season on the show. The baby and I are both healthy, and that\u2019s the most important thing.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Just weeks after sparking split rumors, Amy\u2019s husband Michael filed for divorce on March 13, 2023, <\/span>Life & Style <\/span><\/i>confirmed<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The couple, who met in high school, wed nearly four years prior on March 15, 2019. \u201cMy husband Michael, he means the world to me. Me and Michael are newlyweds, but we\u2019ve been together four years now,\u201d Amy said during the premiere episode of their TLC show in January 2020. \u201cI can tell him anything and everything. And Michael\u2019s really supportive of me helping Tammy.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Amy achieved her dream of starting a family since first appearing on the <\/span>TLC<\/span><\/a> reality show with her sister, <\/span>Tammy Slaton<\/b><\/a>. During season 1, she tipped the scales at 406 pounds. She managed to get on track by following her doctor\u2019s diet and exercise plan. Eventually, she<\/span> lost enough weight<\/span><\/a> to be approved for gastric bypass surgery in 2019.<\/span><\/p>\n By season 3, Amy dropped an additional 136 pounds, putting her weight at 275 pounds.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cWhen I first met Amy, over two years ago, she weighed over 400 pounds, and one of her goals in life, not only to get married, was to have a baby, and at that point it was impossible for her,\u201d her surgeon, <\/span>Dr. Charles Procter, Jr.<\/b>, said in a January 2022 episode while reflecting on Amy\u2019s hardships and experience becoming a mother, revealing how lucky she was to obtain both.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n However, after giving birth to Gage, Amy admitted she was \u201cnervous\u201d that she wasn\u2019t where she was \u201csupposed\u201d to be for her \u201cweight loss goal.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cI avoid the scale because then I\u2019m focused on the number going down,\u201d she said at the time. \u201cAnd if I see it going up, it\u2019s going to make me depressed and wanna eat more. So, it\u2019s best not to look at it.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n She weighed 288 pounds during her pregnancy, and the doctor hoped she weighed under 250. At the time, her weight came in at 275 pounds.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cSurgery\u2019s no guarantee that somebody\u2019s going to not only lose the weight but keep the weight off, and we\u2019ve seen that,\u201d Dr. Proctor said at the time. \u201cFrom what I\u2019m seeing, she hasn\u2019t put any more effort back into her health.
