Lately, just about every day\u2019s been Take Your Daughter to Work Day for Angelina Jolie<\/strong><\/a>. It was announced last August that she\u2019d tapped 15-year-old Vivienne as an assistant while serving as lead producer on the stage adaptation of S.E. Hinton\u2019s famed novel, The Outsiders<\/em> \u2014 and at the Broadway show\u2019s April 11 premiere in NYC, proud Angie, 48, couldn\u2019t help but gush about her \u201cwise little greaser.\u201d<\/p>\n Their musical adventure is just the latest display of the close relationship Angie shares with her six children. When it comes to dad Brad Pitt<\/a><\/strong>, though, things are more complicated for Maddox<\/strong><\/a>, 22, Pax<\/strong><\/a>, 20, Zahara<\/strong><\/a>, 19, Shiloh<\/a>, 17, and Viv<\/a> and her twin brother, Knox<\/a>, 15. \u201cThe siblings do get into arguments about their parents,\u201d an insider exclusively tells Life & Style<\/em> of the Jolie-Pitt brood taking sides in Brangie\u2019s bitter divorce battle<\/a> \u2014 which began way back in 2016 and includes an ongoing war over the former couple\u2019s French winery as well as custody of the underage kids. \u201cWhile Maddox, Pax, Zahara and Vivienne are all adamantly on Team Angie<\/a>, Shiloh and Knox continue to talk to their dad. The other kids don\u2019t understand their connection to Brad. They try to persuade them<\/a> to switch sides, and it causes a lot of tension.\u201d<\/p>\n Brad, 60, admits he\u2019s made mistakes, says the insider, \u201cbut Angelina\u2019s been relentless about making him suffer for what he\u2019s done.\u201d<\/p>\n Indeed, in her latest countersuit against Brad, Angie brought up the duo\u2019s infamous 2016 flight that inspired her to file for divorce, publicly detailing for the first time what went down between him and his kids. And it allegedly wasn\u2019t pretty. \u201cPitt choked one of the children and struck another,\u201d legal docs filed this April read. \u201cThe children\u2026 were all frightened. Many were crying.\u201d<\/p>\n No charges were ever filed, and Knox and Shiloh were seemingly willing to give Brad a second chance.<\/p>\n \u201cThey see him often and they text,\u201d the insider reveals to Life & Style<\/em>. \u201cShiloh and Knox always had a special bond with him. Viv did, too, for a while, but in the past few years, she\u2019s distanced herself \u2014 working with Angelina on the play was a huge part of that.\u201d<\/p>\n Though Angie isn\u2019t thrilled about Shiloh and Knox\u2019s relationship with Brad, the insider says, \u201cshe treads carefully because the last thing she wants is for them to alienate her.\u201d<\/p>\n It\u2019s unlikely Shiloh and Knox could be persuaded to dump their dad anyway.
