Luke Grimes thinks Beyonce<\/a>‘s country music is “great” for the genre.<\/p>\n

Beyonce released her latest album in March<\/p>\n

The Grammy-winning star released ‘Cowboy Carter’ in March, and Luke has welcomed Beyonce<\/a>‘s move into the country genre.<\/p>\n

Luke, 40, told The Independent: “It\u2019s music. It\u2019s not rocket science. People are trying to make sounds that make you have a better time. Why would you be mad at that?”<\/p>\n

Luke subsequently hailed Beyonce<\/a> as “one of the most talented people on Earth”, and the musician believes she’s already had a positive impact on the genre.<\/p>\n

Luke explained: “She\u2019s one of the most talented people on Earth, so hell yeah, if she likes country too, that\u2019s great.”<\/p>\n

\nSimilarly, Darius Rucker recently argued that Beyonce’s album is good for country music.<\/p>\n

\nThe 57-year-old singer – who pivoted to country music back in 2008 – welcomed Beyonce’s recent switch to a country-inspired sound.<\/p>\n

\nHe told Us Weekly: “I\u2019m happy for her. I\u2019m happy for the genre.<\/p>\n

\n“The eyes that she brought to country music went up, and that\u2019s always a good thing when you have more people watching country music.”<\/p>\n

\nDarius also hopes that other black musicians will follow the same path as Beyonce.<\/p>\n

\nHe explained: “I hope what she\u2019s done translate[s] even more than it already has to more people of colour getting a shot at country music.”<\/p>\n

\nPrior to that, Carlene Carter claimed that country music is “lucky” to have Beyonce.<\/p>\n

\nSpeaking to ‘Entertainment Tonight’, Carlene explained: “I loved that she came out with her name as Carter because she’s married to Jay-Z, and I thought, she’s from Texas, she wanted to make a country record, nobody should give her any poo poo about it, you know? But they did and I was like, ‘OK, y’all can just shut the hell up because she is Beyonce and we are lucky to have her even want to be in the vicinity of us.'”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
