Justin Hartley<\/strong><\/a> revealed that Supernatural<\/em> <\/a>alum Jensen Ackles<\/strong><\/a> will portray his estranged brother on the hit CBS drama series, Tracker<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Hartley, 47, who portrays Colter Shaw<\/a>, shared the exciting casting news with followers in a video posted via Instagram<\/a> on Thursday, April 25.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been a great response, we\u2019re thrilled and over the moon,\u201d the This Is Us<\/em> alum began after thanking fans for supporting the show in its first season. \u201cI have a little bit of news for you. We\u2019ve been talking about Russell Shaw, my brother, all season, [with] this family drama that\u2019s been going on between Colter and Russell.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued, \u201cWe finally came up with what I think is the perfect casting choice. This person knocks it out of the park every time.\u201d<\/p>\n

Before his reveal, Ackles, 46, could be heard tapping on something in the background. After Hartley repeated the phrase \u201cknocks it out the park every time\u201d while looking visibly annoyed, he flipped the camera to the Days of Our Lives<\/em> alum, who was playing an arcade game.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe agreed to do this together, but he is in the middle of something,\u201d he joked before ending the video by posing with Ackles.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had too much fun mixing it up with you, Hartley. Let\u2019s do it again,\u201d Ackles wrote in the comments section of the post.<\/p>\n

Fans couldn\u2019t contain their excitement upon hearing the news, with one social media user writing, \u201cThis is BRILLIANT casting, Jensen and you are definitely cut from the same cloth of awesomeness.\u201d Another added, \u201cSo excited! Best casting choice for sure and you two will have awesome screen brother chemistry.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ackles is slated to make his Tracker<\/em> debut in the May 12 episode.<\/p>\n

Though this is Hartley and Ackles\u2019 first time working together, Tracker<\/em> reunited Hartley with his This Is Us<\/em> costar, Jon Huertas<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

While speaking exclusively with Us Weekly<\/em><\/a> earlier this month, Huertas, 54, opened up about directing an upcoming episode of the series and how Hartley \u2013 who also serves as producer \u2013 made his time on the Tracker<\/em> set so easy.<\/p>\n
