Tamra Judge<\/strong><\/a> and Vicki Gunvalson<\/strong><\/a> have had a lot of ups and downs in their friendship.<\/p>\n The pair hit it off when they first met during season 3 of Real Housewives of Orange County<\/em><\/a>, which aired in 2008. Judge and Gunvalson\u2019s friendship blossomed the following year after they bonded over their disdain for costar Gretchen Rossi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Gunvalson and Judge hit their first friendship roadblock in season 7 over Gunvalson\u2019s then-boyfriend Brooks Ayers<\/strong>. From the start, Judge was skeptical of Ayers\u2019 intentions and Gunvalson didn\u2019t want to hear it.<\/p>\n After getting into arguments over Ayers, the women\u2019s friendship was damaged. However, the duo resolved their distances and made up while Ayers was still in the picture \u2014 but the truce didn\u2019t last long. Gunvalson and Judge argued again over Ayers. In 2016, Judge shared she wasn\u2019t sure if their friendship could be salvaged.<\/p>\n \u201cThat\u2019s where I\u2019m at \u2013 I\u2019m burned. I said, \u2018You know what, one more thing. One more thing, and I\u2019m done. I\u2019m done,\u201d she recalled during Jenny McCarthy<\/strong>\u2018s Dirty, Sexy, Funny<\/em> SiriusXM show. \u201dIt actually hurts my feelings because we\u2019ve been friends off and on for 10 years, so we\u2019ve gone through a lot together. We\u2019ve gone through our kids getting married \u2026 health concerns and divorces and all that stuff, so, we have a lot of history.\u201d<\/p>\n Keep scrolling to see Judge and Gunvalson\u2019s ups and downs over the years:<\/p>\n Gunvalson, who has been a staple on RHOC<\/em> since its premiere in 2006, took Judge under her wing when she made her debut in season 3.<\/p>\n The women\u2019s relationship hit a snag after Judge shared her dislike for Ayers. Gunvalson didn\u2019t appreciate her pal not being more supportive of her relationship.<\/p>\n \u201cYou\u2019re supposed to be my friend no matter what. You don\u2019t talk that way to me or him. You\u2019re supposed to be my friend!\u201d Gunvalson said in a season 7 episode of RHOC<\/em>. \u201cMy friend, my soul mate, my sister. That means you have respect for the man I love \u2026 Everyone\u2019s always scared of you. I\u2019m not scared of you.\u201d<\/p>\n That same season, Judge and Gunvalson got into a heated exchange after Ayers claimed Judge was giving his girlfriend the \u201cevil eye.\u201d<\/p>\n After a year of drama, Gunvalson and Judge buried the hatchet at Judge\u2019s bachelorette party.<\/p>\n While the duo were on friendly terms, they made a group called Tres Amigas with fellow RHOC costar Shannon Beador. However, Judge and Gunvalson\u2019s truce didn\u2019t last for long as Judge continued to talk badly about Ayers. During a group trip to Bali, the RHOC<\/em> cast sat down with Judge about the drama. Judge accused Gunvalson of not having her back.<\/p>\n \u201cYou sat back and you did nothing this year,\u201d Judge said. \u201cYou [sit] back, act nice to my face, you text me the entire time we are filming and the entire time you were mean behind my back.\u201d<\/p>\n Gunvalson replied, \u201cYou\u2019re supposed to be getting better but you just get bitter and bitter and bitter.\u201d<\/p>\n Judge got her vindication about her feelings toward Ayers after it came out he was lying about having cancer.<\/p>\n \u201cFrom day one I called him out. I felt he was a con man. I could see it in his eyes and nothing he said was making sense,\u201d Judge said to E! News<\/em><\/a>. \u201cHe\u2019s a charmer, but then you get to know him and after a while his stories don\u2019t add up. In the end, I stopped questioning him as much, started accepting him for Vicki. I knew that if I let go, he would do it to himself.\u201d<\/p>\n Judge revealed that Gunvalson apologized to her over the Ayers drama but it didn\u2019t help change how hurt she felt by her friend over the years.<\/p>\n \u201cI took her back this year, accepted her apology \u2014 well, her half-ass apology \u2014 forgave the past and tried to move on, only to get burned again,\u201d Judge said on SiriusXM\u2019s Dirty, Sexy, Funny<\/em> show. \u201cShe was behind my back with a machete this time,\u201d she explained. \u201cWe have so much fun this year and I\u2019m like, \u2018Oh my friend\u2019s back, she\u2019s away from the douche, now she\u2019s gonna be like the old Vicki.\u2019 No. Not so much.\u201d<\/p>\n Judge gave an update on her fractured friendship with Gunvalson. \u201cI\u2019m not saying I don\u2019t care about [Vicki], \u2018cause I did care about her, but when you get hurt so bad, it\u2019s just, like, whatever.\u201d she said to Entertainment Tonight<\/em><\/a>. \u201cWe go from me and Vicki not even speaking, then going to Iceland and kind of speaking, and then we go to the season finale and not speaking again.\u201d<\/p>\n Gunvalson and Judge finally worked out their differences and got on good terms again.<\/p>\n \u201cLong story short, she came clean and that\u2019s all it really took,\u201d Judge said to ET<\/em><\/a>. \u201cI\u2019m not that tough of a girl. We all mess up and we all screw up. I know that for a fact. You just say you\u2019re sorry and you mean it, and you move on and you learn from your mistake, and I\u2019m OK with that.\u201d<\/p>\n Gunvalson learned in July 2019 that she got demoted<\/a> from the RHOC<\/em> main cast in season 14. Judge shared a sweet message of support<\/a> for her pal.<\/p>\n \u201cOmg @vickigunvalson two dunk [sic] housewives. Where do I start \u2026 the hats , the tan , the can of beer & the 12 years of crazy shenanigans. I love you, I hate you! I\u2019ve gone through so much with you my friend,\u201d she wrote via Instagram at the time. \u201cI said it 12 years ago and I\u2019ll say it again #BFF (or until you piss me off again \u2026 jk). \u201cIt makes me sad that you\u2019re sad right now . I love you so much pinky swear.\u201d<\/p>\n Both Gunvalson and Judge exited RHOC<\/em>. Us Weekly<\/em><\/a> reported at the time that Bravo offered Judge a \u201cpart-time role,\u201d but ultimately declined.<\/p>\n After Judge and Gunvalson departed from RHOC, the twosome appeared on the second season of The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip<\/em> together. Shortly after UGT<\/em> aired Judge returned to RHOC<\/em>. Gunvalson shared that she was happy for her friend<\/a>, but wished she could join her.<\/p>\n \u201cOf course I\u2019m excited for her. I would be a bad friend if I wasn\u2019t,\u201d Gunvalson, 60, said during an appearance on E!\u2019s Daily Pop<\/em> in August 2022. \u201cYes, I have FOMO [fear of missing out]. I\u2019m like any other woman that would be feeling that way.\u201d<\/p>\n Later that year, Gunvalson confessed to Us that she was initially \u201cjealous\u201d Judge was asked back<\/a> before her.
