Cheers to 2023! Miley Cyrus<\/strong><\/a> is returning for her second annual Miley\u2019s New Year\u2019s Eve Party<\/em> special<\/a> to celebrate the end of 2022.<\/p>\n

The Hannah Montana<\/em><\/a> alum officially announced the broadcast on Monday, November 21. \u201cMiley\u2019s New Year\u2019s Eve Party is about getting glamorous and dressing your best,\u201d she said in a promo video<\/a> released by NBC.<\/p>\n

Cyrus sat at a table adorned with champagne glasses as black and gold streamers hung from the ceiling. Beside her was incoming cohost Dolly Parton<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, we do that every day. Don\u2019t we, Miley?\u201d the country music icon teased<\/a>, to which the Tennessee native replied, \u201cYou taught me well.\u201d<\/p>\n

As Parton, who is the Last Song<\/em> actress\u2019 godmother, exclaimed that the New Year\u2019s Eve special<\/a> will be \u201clegendary,\u201d Cyrus chimed in: \u201cShe would know.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a press release issued the same day, NBCUniversal exec Jen Neal<\/strong> gushed over the return of the holiday celebration. \u201cThe inaugural Miley\u2019s New Year\u2019s Eve Party was an unqualified success and we know this year\u2019s show will be just as spectacular, with plenty of surprises and lots of fun,\u201d Neal said. \u201cWe can\u2019t wait to get the party started.\u201d<\/p>\n

Last year, Cyrus was joined by<\/a> Pete Davidson<\/strong><\/a> for her first-ever NYE broadcast. The pair waited for midnight at a live event filmed in Miami.<\/p>\n

\u201cI wanted to do something that\u2019s traditional, but I knew that we would do it in a way that is unique and unconventional, and we did that by starting with going to Miami,\u201d the \u201cMalibu\u201d singer said during a December 2021 interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon<\/em><\/a>. \u201c[Pete] will be funny, and I\u2019ll be naked, and together we\u2019ve got a show.\u201d<\/p>\n

At the time, Cyrus shed light on her favorite part of celebrating the start of a new year. \u201cOne thing I think that gets focused on at New Year\u2019s time is what\u2019s to come, being optimistic, being hopeful, about all these things that haven\u2019t happened yet that we have no proof are going to happen,\u201d she explained. \u201cWe kinda erase everything that did happen and we forget to honor it and look backward too.\u201d<\/p>\n
