The Swedish-born singer, 26, was born in Solna, Stockholm, to her nursing assistant mum Agnetha and army officer dad Anders and admitted she became uncontrollable as her father spent most of his time away on \u201ca mission\u201d when she was growing up.<\/p>\n
Zara told reality TV regular Jamie Laing, 35, on his \u2018Great Company\u2019 podcast: \u201cWe did do a lot of family therapy actually when I was a teenager. I was just a bad teenager \u2013 I was just really wild.<\/p>\n
\u201cI just did whatever I wanted to do. I didn\u2019t listen to anyone.\u201d<\/p>\n
She went on about how her mum did her best to control her and run a home while her dad was away: \u201cIn the house, my mum\u2019s like the one who decides things.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cBut also my dad was away a lot. My dad wasn\u2019t really home like that. He was always on a mission or I don\u2019t know what he was doing.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cHe was just gone pretty much. And so mom was just the one who like kept the fortress you know.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nZara also said she thinks her dad has got softer as he ages, adding: \u201cNow when my parents, especially my dad when they\u2019re older and he\u2019s not out in a way all the time and he\u2019s grown really maybe sentimental, he\u2019s getting maybe\u2026 you realise like, \u2018I\u2019m getting older and life is actually not that long.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cIt goes quick\u2026 I think he realises it\u2019s so important to have that good family relationship and bond and I feel like he\u2019s trying a lot to just have us all bond and, like, connect.<\/p>\n
\n\u201cSo he\u2019s definitely, like, a different man today than he was when I grew up and it\u2019s kind of cute.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nZara added her sister Hannah, 23, who is in the band Lennix, is \u201csuch an important person\u201d in her life she thinks they would have been best friends even if they weren\u2019t related.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
