According to a new report, two people very<\/em> close to home are making it their jobs to ensure a willingness to do whatever Trump wants will be prioritized above all else.<\/p>\n Axios reports<\/a> that Donald Trump Jr.<\/strong> and Eric Trump<\/strong> \u201chave become key players in the early planning for a second\u00a0Trump administration\u2019s transition team, and would focus on vetting potential officials and staffers for ideology and loyalty,\u201d according to campaign aides and Trump allies.\u00a0While neither one of the Trump boys would officially head up the transition team, they would \u201ctake a lead in making sure government jobs are filled by Republicans aligned with Trump\u2019s vision for the party,\u201d the sources told Axios, with one noting that Don Jr.\u2019s goal \u201cis to keep the John Boltons of the world outside a second Trump administration.\u201d (John Bolton<\/strong> served as Trump\u2019s national security adviser; among other things, Bolton was said to have pushed back on Trump\u2019s scrapped plan to invite the Taliban to Camp David<\/a>, and, according to former aide Fiona Hill,<\/strong> wanted nothing to do with<\/a> what he dubbed the Trump administration\u2019s \u201cdrug deal\u201d to pressure Ukraine to dig up dirt on Joe Biden.<\/strong> He later wrote a book trashing Trump and has suggested<\/a> that his former boss is a Vladimir Putin<\/strong>\u2013loving moron who thought Finland was part of Russia.)<\/p>\n In an interview with the New York Post<\/em> last month, Don Jr.\u2014who, like his brother and dad, was recently found liable for fraud<\/a>\u2014said<\/a> he would be \u201cvery active\u201d in the transition team\u2019s dealings, saying, with uniquely Trumpian vernacular, that he\u2019ll \u201cmake sure we stop some of the DC swamp rats and the swamp creatures from getting in there and doing their thing.\u201d He added that he has a \u201cgood understanding of who would be great and loyal and implement the America First policies.\u201d<\/p>\n It\u2019s not clear what tests Junior and Eric would use to vet candidates for loyalty to their father, but it seems there\u2019s a nonzero chance it would involve repeatedly shooting them with Nerf guns while making them comment \u201cBiden sucks\u201d under every White House social media post from the past three months.<\/p>\n Trump\u2019s eldest sons are not the only ones taking an active role in his political future; in March, Lara Trump<\/strong> took over as cochair of the Republican National Committee and laid off<\/a> dozens of people in what appears to be an obvious effort to install even more Trump loyalists. Two people who, at present, are staying as far away from the campaign as possible and more or less trying to pretend that the period from 2017 to 2021 never happened?
