Brittany Cartwright<\/strong><\/a> shed more light into some of the past issues between her and Jax Taylor<\/strong><\/a> \u2014 including one that had to do with money.<\/p>\n

During the Tuesday, April 23, episode of Vanderpump Rules<\/em><\/a>, Brittany, 35, made an onscreen appearance for the first time<\/a> in four years to offer Scheana Shay<\/strong> advice about Brock Davies<\/strong>. Scheana, 38, got emotional while discussing how her success caused problems<\/a> in her marriage.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel like Brock is always doing so much to help me and maybe he feels like I don\u2019t appreciate it at times because he\u2019s not bringing in a huge income?\u201d Scheana said.<\/p>\n

In response, Brittany asked whether Scheana \u201cbeing the breadwinner\u201d is what kept her and Brock, 32, at odds. \u201cI think for him, totally,\u201d Scheana, who shares 3-year-old daughter Summer<\/a> with Brock, noted at the time.<\/p>\n

The topic of paychecks has come up in various circumstances over the years since Vanderpump Rules debuted in 2013. Following Raquel Leviss and Tom Sandoval\u2018s shocking affair behind Ariana Madix\u2019s back \u2014 which came [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Brittany, meanwhile, revealed that she faced similar issues with Jax, 44. \u201cI know whenever me and Jax were going through that where I was making more money for once, I could tell that was a shift for him,\u201d she recalled. \u201cWe were fighting a lot because of that alone.\u201d<\/p>\n

Brittany added: \u201cI think because they are such manly men, that can be something even if they don\u2019t express it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Vanderpump Rules<\/em> viewers became familiar with Jax and Brittany\u2019s ups and downs when she joined the series in 2015. After Brittany became a main cast member, the pair were often at odds and even weathered a high-profile cheating scandal<\/a> before their exit in 2020.<\/p>\n

As fans prepared to get an update on Jax and Brittany on The Valley<\/em><\/a>, the duo announced in February they are \u201ctaking time apart\u201d from their marriage.<\/p>\n

Season 1 of The Valley<\/em> hinted at Brittany feeling unhappy in her marriage<\/a> to Jax. With new episodes continuing to air, Brittany elaborated on how a lack of intimacy contributed<\/a> to their marital struggles.<\/p>\n

\u201cKeeping things romantic and spicy is how you make it work. If we\u2019re going to make it 20 years, we have to keep this up but it\u2019s already dwindled so much. It was messing with my confidence \u2014 why is he not coming on to me? I felt like I wasn\u2019t good enough,\u201d she revealed in Us Weekly<\/em>\u2018s recent cover story. \u201cIf you start to feel like your partner doesn\u2019t want you and they\u2019re also being mean to you, it\u2019s like, \u201cWhat am I doing here?\u201d I\u2019m basically living with a roommate. I hit my breaking point.\u201d<\/p>\n
