Luke Bryan<\/strong><\/a> is crediting the extra padding on his body as the reason why he wasn\u2019t seriously injured after falling onstage<\/a> during his concert this past weekend.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhether it was a phone or a slippery stage \u2026 when I landed, the first thing I hit was a phone,\u201d Bryan, 47, told TMZ<\/a> on Monday, April 22, of the mishap.<\/p>\n

When asked if he had \u201cno injuries\u201d and was \u201call good,\u201d Bryan joked, \u201cHey, I got a lot of meat back there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Footage from his performance at the Coast City Country Festival in Vancouver, Canada, on Saturday, April 20, showed Bryan abruptly falling on his back after slipping on a fan\u2019s phone.<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tLuke Bryan has seen incredible success in the spotlight \u2014 while simultaneously dealing with unimaginable lows. The country star has suffered through multiple losses in his life: his brother, Chris Bryan, died in a car accident in the \u201890s; several years later, his sister, Kelly Bryan, passed away in 2007. Kelly\u2019s husband, Ben Lee Cheshire, [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The country crooner then began laughing as he sat up and held the phone for the audience to see.<\/p>\n

\u201cHold on. Did anybody get that?\u201d Bryan asked the crowd as he checked himself for potential injuries. \u201cIt\u2019s OK. Hey, my lawyer will be calling.\u201d<\/p>\n

He then threw the phone back into the crowd before asking whether anyone filmed his fall. \u201cYou\u2019re Snapchatting. You can\u2019t Snapchat this s\u2013t,\u201d he told an audience member. \u201cOh, yes! Alright, here we go again. There I am, there we go \u2026 there it is! This is viral, alright, this is viral.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bryan also laughed off<\/a> his now-viral slip during the Sunday, April 21, episode of American Idol<\/em> after host Ryan Seacrest<\/strong> referenced his tumble.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just want to check to make sure. Luke, you\u2019re moving OK?\u201d Seacrest, 49, joked. \u201cYou looked alright at the open of the show there. Are you damaged in any way?\u201d<\/p>\n

After initially pretending he didn\u2019t know what Seacrest was talking about, the \u201cBut I Got a Beer in My Hand\u201d singer eventually gave fans an update after Seacrest replayed the clip, which Bryan called \u201cgood old-fashioned foolishness.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m alright, baby!\u201d he added. \u201c[It was] actually the best moment of the night.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bryan\u2019s Canadian leg of his Mind of a Country Boy Tour<\/em> is set to wrap up on Thursday, April 25. The country star will kick off the next leg of his tour in June in Jacksonville, Florida.<\/p>\n

In between tour dates, fans can watch Bryan on American Idol<\/em>, where he has been a judge alongside Katy Perry<\/strong> and Lionel Richie<\/strong> since season 16 in 2018.<\/p>\n

Though Perry, 39, announced in February that this season would \u201cprobably\u201d be her last, Bryan admitted that he wasn\u2019t surprised by her decision.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had heard whispers that she was thinking about it \u2014 it wasn\u2019t like a huge shock,\u201d he told Taste of Country<\/em> earlier this month. \u201cI think she kinda just got caught up in the moment with [Jimmy] Kimmel<\/strong> and maybe announced that she was done.\u201d<\/p>\n
