David Beckham<\/strong><\/a> and Mark Wahlberg<\/strong><\/a> have had a history together long before the pair had legal trouble with one another.<\/p>\n

After Beckham and his family moved to Los Angeles and brought the paparazzi with them, Wahlberg commented that it disturbed the neighborhood\u2019s peace.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not telling Beckham to take his family home<\/a>. I\u2019m just not sure why he came to America in the first place,\u201d Wahlberg told Daily Mail<\/a> in 2009. \u201cMan, we don\u2019t want your soccer. There\u2019s no way Americans are going to buy the idea of 90 minutes of running around without much happening. Thanks for trying guys, but we\u2019ll stick to baseball and basketball.\u201d<\/p>\n

Years later, the pair were seemingly on good terms when Beckham agreed to serve as the global ambassador for F45 Training, which Wahlberg partially owns. But in April 2024, Us Weekly<\/em> confirmed that Beckham\u2019s DB Ventures company filed a lawsuit<\/a> against F45, claiming the company owes him at least $10 million.<\/p>\n

\u201cMan, the Beckhams. It used to be so quiet on my road,\u201d Wahlberg told Daily Mail. \u201cThen David moves in with his family. Suddenly we\u2019ve got paparazzi hanging out day and night. Now they\u2019ll follow any car that drives down the road. I take strong exception to that kind of thing. When I take my kids to the park I don\u2019t want strangers sticking their lenses into our faces.\u201d<\/p>\n

He continued: \u201cWhere I come from it\u2019s not considered wise to follow people around like that unless you\u2019re looking for serious trouble. When that happens I start thinking, \u2018Either I\u2019m going to get that guy or he\u2019s going to get me.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

After his 2009 comment, Wahlberg shared that he wanted to ensure there was no bad blood between him and Beckham.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe wanted me to email him about something \u2013 I don\u2019t know if it was a film. I had said something, half joking, because his house is at the bottom of our hill and a lot of people hang around the area. So I said something like, \u2018I don\u2019t like him being here because of that,\u2019\u201d Wahlberg told The Sun<\/em>, per Daily Mail<\/a>. \u201cI met him and some of his sons and he seems like a nice guy \u2026 I wanted to make sure he hadn\u2019t taken that [remark] personally.\u201d<\/p>\n

Beckham agreed to serve as F45\u2019s global ambassador. \u201cI\u2019ve been a fan of the F45 franchise and training model since being introduced by my friend, Mark Wahlberg,\u201d he said during a press release<\/a> at the time.<\/p>\n
