Yes, there even seems to be a shout-out to his brother.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, April 19, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2024\/04\/taylor-swift-shocks-the-world-announces-double-album\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Taylor Swift delighted fans with a double album release<\/a>. And one The Tortured Poets Department track in particular sounds like it\u2019s all about Travis.<\/p>\n<p>Mama Kelce sure seems to like it. He also won the Super Bowl in February, just two months and some change before Taylor released her album.<\/p>\n<p>The lyrics specifically mention winning streaks, trophies, and touchdowns. That\u2019s not especially ambiguous: it\u2019s football. And who plays football other than Travis (and his brother)?<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\"\/>\n<p>Even as far back as February, some Twitter users were speculating that \u201cThe Alchemy\u201d \u2014 at the time, merely a track title \u2014 was about Travis.<\/p>\n<p>Why? Essentially, because after finding false \u201cgold\u201d in past relationships, perhaps Taylor has found something authentic with Travis. Plus, she once called Travis\u2019 podcast \u201cmetal as hell.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That was just a fan theory and came months before anyone outside of her inner circle and a few people on the technical side of the music industry had heard the \u201cThe Alchemy.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Can&#8217;t believe my favorite song off the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/TSTTPD?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">#TSTTPD<\/a> double album is the touchdown football song where Jason Kelce makes an apparent cameo. (With a mention of Jason Kelce)<\/h2>\n<p>All of the discussion about a \u201ctouch down\u201d and \u201cthe team\u201d and \u201cgreatest in the league\u201d point in a <em>football <\/em>direction. Even without Taylor seeming to refer to herself as a \u201ctrophy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>There is even a \u201cshirts off\u201d line, which seems to be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thehollywoodgossip.com\/2024\/01\/jason-kelce-taylor-swift-didnt-mind-that-i-was-drunk-and-shirtless-the-first-time-we-met\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">a reference to Jason Kelce<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>However, some Swifties are dismissing the obvious explanation \u2026 and zeroing in upon a different detail. He had been a longtime friend, but the two spent weeks as something more.<\/p>\n<p>One of the lines of \u201cThe Alchemy\u201d mentions heroin.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s not really Travis\u2019 brand \u2014 or Taylor\u2019s. But some Swifties are pointing out that it sounds much more in keeping with an ill-behaved musician like Matty Healy.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\u201cthe alchemy is about travis\u201d is everyone missing the heroin line? that has matty written all over it.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 valen \u03a8 (@valenfigurka) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/valenfigurka\/status\/1780861023768994143?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">April 18, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<h2 id=\"h-but-was-taylor-really-singing-about-actual-heroin\">But was Taylor really singing about actual heroin?<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cThese blokes warm the benches, we\u2019ve been on a winning streak,\u201d Taylor sings. \u201cHe jokes that \u2018It\u2019s heroin, but this time with an E.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That sounds like a pun, a play on words, with the word <em>heroine<\/em>. Which does not mean that the song needs to directly refer to someone who has used one of the most addictive substances on the planet.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s possible that Taylor\u2019s line is a jab at someone else, indicating how refreshing Travis is. But that might be a stretch. It doesn\u2019t have to be about anyone else.
