Taylor Swift\u2019s<\/strong><\/a> good friend and longtime musical collaborator Jack Antonoff<\/strong> <\/a>was thrilled with her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department<\/em><\/a>. The tracks were released on Friday, April 19, and Jack took to social media to share his thoughts.<\/p>\n \u201clove this album more than i can say \u2026. love you all very much \u2026 more later very overwhelmed \u2026 love you taylor,\u201d the Bleachers frontman wrote via X<\/a> mere hours after the album dropped.<\/p>\n Jack, 40, also took some time to shout out some of his favorite songs in other tweets.<\/p>\n \u201c!! FOTS heads lets go !!\u201d the \u201cModern Girl\u201d singer wrote in reference to Taylor\u2019s song \u201cFresh Out the Slammer,\u201d and he mentioned her song \u201cDown Bad\u201d in a followup tweet.<\/p>\n It makes sense that Jack is so pleased with The Tortured Poets Department\u2019s<\/em> reception because he\u2019s credited as producer<\/a> on the album. Taylor, 34, and Jack first met when they worked together on the song \u201cSweeter Than Fiction\u201d for the soundtrack to the film One Chance<\/em> in 2012. Jack also collaborated with the Grammy winner on her previous albums, including 1989<\/em>, Reputation<\/em>, Midnights<\/em> and Evermore<\/em>.<\/p>\n Jack was by Taylor\u2019s side when she revealed the news about The Tortured Poets Department<\/em> release<\/a> at the 2024 Grammy Awards in February.<\/p>\n \u201cOK, this is my 13th GRAMMY, which is my lucky number. I don\u2019t know if I\u2019ve ever told you that,\u201d Taylor gushed while she accepted the Best Pop Vocal Album award for her album Midnights<\/em>. \u201cI want to say thank you to the members of the Recording Academy for voting this way, but I know that the way that the Recording Academy voted is a direct reflection of the passion of the fans.\u201d<\/p>\n Before the release of The Tortured Poets Department<\/em>, Jack refused to say whether or not he worked with Taylor on the album. He even got a bit snippy<\/a> with the Dutch news outlet NRC<\/em><\/a> on March 27 when the reporter asked him if he was involved with TTPD<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cYou know I don\u2019t talk about that,\u201d Jack said. \u201cIf you\u2019re looking for clickbait, you\u2019ve come to the wrong place. Thank you for this conversation.\u201d<\/p>\n The \u201cTiny Moves\u201d singer then abruptly hung up the phone and ended the interview.<\/p>\n That wasn\u2019t the first time Jack had stood up for Taylor. He also had her back when Damon Albarn of the groups Blur and Gorillaz implied that the \u201cI Can Do It With a Broken Heart\u201d singer didn\u2019t write her own music. He likened Damon\u2019s suggestion to \u201cchallenging someone\u2019s faith in God.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m a little bitch sometimes,\u201d Jack explained during an interview with The Los Angeles Times<\/em><\/a> in February.. \u201cBut you come after my friend Taylor, you\u2019re toast to me.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
