The \u2018Bad Blood\u2019 singer, 34, is releasing her 11th studio record \u2018The Tortured Poets Department\u2019 on Friday (19.04.24) and on Thursday (18.04.24) told fans she had chosen the track with Post, 28, to front it as she was such a huge fan of his work.<\/p>\n
She said on Instagram: \u201cI\u2019ve been such a huge fan of Post because of the writer he is, his musical experimentation and those melodies he creates that just stick in your head forever. <\/p>\n
\u201cI got to witness that magic come to life first-hand when we worked together on \u2018Fortnight\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n
Taylor also announced she and Post \u2013 real name Austin Richard Post \u2013 would be releasing a music video for the track at 8pm Eastern Time on Friday when the album comes out.<\/p>\n
\nShe added alongside a black-and-white image of her with Post: \u201cHonestly can\u2019t wait for you guys to hear this song at Midnight TONIGHT and see the video at 8pm ET TOMORROW.<\/p>\n
\n\u2018Fortnight\u2019 is the first track on \u2018Tortured Poets\u2019 and only one of two songs to feature another artist \u2013 with the song \u2018Florida!!!\u2019 featuring 37-year-old Florence Welch, the other collaboration on the record.<\/p>\n
\nTaylor\u2019s announcement came after it was reported her NFL player boyfriend Travis Kelce, 34, has \u201czero concern\u201d the singer may address past relationships on her new album.<\/p>\n
\nA source told the Daily Mail about Taylor\u2019s habit of using past romances as inspiration for her material: \u201cIf (\u2018Tortured Poets\u2019) is about (her ex) Joe (Alwyn), or anyone \u2013 even if it is about him in the future \u2013 this is the artist she is and he is in love with her and doesn\u2019t pay any attention to be jealous.<\/p>\n
\n\u201c(Travis) understands this is a major part of what makes her the person and artist she is and he is no way looking to thwart the direction she takes.\u201d<\/p>\n
\nThe insider also insisted Travis is \u201c100 per cent\u201d supportive of Taylor\u2019s creative choices.<\/p>\n
\nThey added she has apparently explained them all to him and he \u201cloves everything she is doing\u201d.<\/p>\n
\nThe source went on: \u201cThey have talked about the album and what the songs are all about.<\/p>\n
