Gayle King<\/strong><\/a> weighed in on Prince Harry<\/strong><\/a> and Meghan Markle<\/strong><\/a>\u2018s bombshell Netflix docuseries \u2014 and it turns out the broadcast journalist has plans to tune in<\/a>.<\/p>\n During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen<\/em><\/a>, which aired on Thursday, December 8, the host, 54,\u00a0joked about the 41-year-old former actress\u2019 previous comments regarding not wanting to do a reality show \u2014 implying that her new show fits under the category.<\/p>\n King, 67,\u00a0came to the former actress\u2019 defense<\/a>, saying, \u201cIt\u2019s not a reality show. It\u2019s not.\u201d<\/p>\n The TV anchor also replied to a question about whether she would watch the six-part docuseries<\/a>, saying, \u201cI can\u2019t wait.\u201d<\/p>\n Harry, 38, and Meghan\u2019s newest project, which is titled Harry & Meghan<\/em><\/a>, debuted its first episodes on Thursday. The couple opened up about the early days of their romance and their experience with the royal family.<\/a><\/p>\n \u201cThis is a great love story. And the craziest thing is that I think this love story is only just getting started,\u201d the Duke of Sussex gushed in the premiere episode. \u201cShe sacrificed everything that she ever knew, the freedom that she had, to join me in my world, and then pretty soon after that I end up sacrificing everything that I know to join her in her world.\u201d<\/p>\n The Suits<\/em> alum recalled not looking to date anyone new before she was set up<\/a> with Harry. \u201cI was really intent on being single and just have fun girl-time,\u201d she explained, referring to her 2016 plans. \u201cI had a career. I had my life. I had my path \u2026 and then came H. I mean, he literally, talk about a plot twist.\u201d<\/p>\n According to Harry, he saw a photo of his now-wife and reached out<\/a> to a mutual friend to connect them. \u201cI was scrolling through my feed and someone who was a friend had this video of the two of them, it was like a Snapchat,\u201d he recalled, adding that Meghan had a dog filter on her in the pic. \u201cThat was the first thing. I was like, \u2018Who is that?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n While filming the series, Harry and Meghan also addressed the racism directed at the Duchess of Sussex<\/a> during her time in the U.K. (The pair previously stepped away from their working roles within the royal family<\/a> in 2020. The decision was made permanent one year later<\/a>.)<\/p>\n \u201cThe direction from the palace was: don\u2019t say anything.
