Christina Applegate rejected a chance to join the reality show<\/p>\n
The 52-year-old actress has revealed that she rejected the chance to join the hit reality TV series.<\/p>\n
Christina said on the ‘Messy’ podcast: “I was asked to be a Housewife for Beverly Hills.<\/p>\n
“They asked me to be one ten years ago, and what’s funny is I ended up becoming really good friends with the executive producer of it because our kids went to school together and he’s like, ‘Oh yeah, we asked you.'”<\/p>\n
Christina ultimately feels she wouldn’t have been suited to the show’s format.<\/p>\n
\nShe explained: “I wouldn’t have shown up to any dinners. I would have been in my sweatpants and I’d be laying in bed. What fun is that? No. I would be the worst Housewife anyway.”<\/p>\n
\nDespite this, Christina actually loves to watch reality TV.<\/p>\n
\nThe actress said: “In the two years that I have been watching from my bed, I have probably watched 300 hours of reality television.”<\/p>\n
\nChristina was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis – a degenerative neurological condition – in 2021, and the actress recently revealed that she prefers to stay at home and deal with her symptoms in private.<\/p>\n
\nShe told ABC News: “That\u2019s kind of how I\u2019m dealing with it, by not going anywhere. Because I don\u2019t want to do it. It\u2019s hard.”<\/p>\n
\nMultiple sclerosis can cause muscle weakness and communication problems, and Christina admitted that she’s “reminded” of her condition every day.<\/p>\n
\nThe movie star said: “I\u2019m never going wake up and go, \u2018This is awesome.\u2019 I\u2019m just going to tell you that – like, it\u2019s not going to happen.<\/p>\n
\n“I wake up and I\u2019m reminded of it every day. So, it\u2019s never going to happen. But I might get to a place where I will function a little bit better.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
