Drake<\/a> may be facing off against several of his hip-hop peers at the moment, but he has one person on his side: <\/span>Uma Thurman<\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The 37-year-old rapper has been in a lyrical war over the past month, catching heat from <\/span>Kendrick Lamar<\/a>, <\/span>Future<\/a>, Metro Boomin, <\/span>A$AP Rocky<\/a>, <\/span>The Weeknd<\/a> and <\/span>Rick Ross<\/a>, and a post to his Instagram Story earned him the surprising support of Thurman, 53.<\/span><\/p>\n On Sunday, Drake posted a still of Thurman’s character, The Bride, surrounded by armed assailants from 2003’s\u00a0<\/span>Kill Bill: Volume 1 <\/span><\/em>to his Story. Fans concluded that the image was referring to Drake’s several ongoing feuds, with the Canadian likening him to the story’s hero who will soon emerge victorious.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Thurman caught wind of Drake’s Story and responded in her own Instagram Story, sharing an\u00a0image of the\u00a0<\/span>Kill Bill<\/span><\/em> costume wrapped in plastic for storage and tagging the musician. “Need this?” Thurman wrote over the photo.<\/span><\/p>\n “Yes pls. The pen is Hattori Hanz\u014d,” Drake wrote in a repost, comparing his lyrical skills to the famed samurai.<\/span><\/p>\n The unexpected social media interaction came after several of Drake’s previous collaborators took jabs at the\u00a0<\/span>For All The Dogs<\/span><\/em>\u00a0rapper.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n While it all began with\u00a0Drake and J. Cole’s October 2023 release of “First Person Shooter” — in which Cole called him, Drake and Lamar the “Big 3” of rap — Lamar’s response is what seemingly ignited the lyrical war against Drake.<\/span><\/p>\n In March, Lamar featured on Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That,”\u00a0a song released as part of the pair’s new collaborative album,\u00a0<\/span>We Don’t Trust You<\/span><\/em>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n In Lamar’s verse, he declares “motherf**k the big three,” adding “it’s just big me.”\u00a0Lamar also responded to “First Person Shooter” by adding: “f**k sneak dissin’, first-person shooter, I hope they came with three switches.”<\/span><\/p>\n Lamar also takes a direct shot at Drake, comparing the “One Dance” rapper to Michael Jackson and himself to Prince.\u00a0“What? I’m really like that\/And your best work is a light pack\/N—-, Prince outlived Mike Jack’\/N—-, bum,” Lamar raps. “‘Fore all your dogs gettin’ buried\/ That’s a K with all these nines, he gon’ see Pet Sematary.”<\/span><\/p>\n The track was followed by the release of\u00a0<\/span>We Don’t Trust You<\/span><\/em>, which\u00a0features appearances from The Weeknd,\u00a0A$AP Rocky, and even Cole himself.<\/span><\/p>\n The Weeknd <\/span>seemingly takes a shot at Drake<\/a> on the track “All to Myself,” in which he sings: “They could never diss my brothers, baby\/When they got leaks in they operation\/I thank God that I never signed my life away.”<\/span><\/p>\n On the song “Show of Hands,” A$AP seemingly hits back at Drake after the OVO label founder <\/span>seemingly took a dig at the father of two and his lady love, Rihanna,<\/a> whom Drake dated on and off between 2009 and 2018.<\/span><\/p>\n “Call up Pluto, Metro, should’ve put me on the first one \/ N****s swear they b**ch the baddest, I just bagged the worst one\/ N****s in they feelings over women, what, you hurt or somethin’? \/ I smash before you birthed, son, Flacko hit it first, son,” A$AP raps.<\/span><\/p>\n Drake has allegedly gotten his lick back against his adversaries. On Saturday, <\/span>a diss track attributed to the rapper titled<\/a> “Push Ups (Drop and Give Me 50)” surfaced on social media, per\u00a0<\/span>Rolling Stone<\/em><\/a>. The song later premiered in media personality DJ Akademiks’ Twitch stream.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n In the leaked track, Drake takes aim at Lamar, calling him a “pipsqueak” and claiming he wears a “size 7” shoe. Drake even names Lamar’s wife, Whitney, while referencing Whitney Houston’s role in the 1992 film <\/span>The Bodyguard<\/span><\/em>. He raps that SZA, 21 Savage and Travis Scott hold more weight than Lamar does in the music business.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n “Pipsqueak, pipe down\/ You ain’t in no big three, SZA got you wiped down\/ Travis got you wiped down, Savage got you wiped down\/ Like your label, boy, you in the scope right now,” Drake raps.<\/span><\/p>\n While 21 Savage and Scott haven’t responded to the lyrics, SZA seemingly\u00a0<\/span>reacted on her\u00a0Instagram Story<\/a> by\u00a0sharing a clip of NeNe Leakes from her <\/span>Real Housewives of Atlanta<\/span><\/em> tenure where she questions, “Now, why am I in it? See how I get thrown into stuff? I ain’t even did nothing.”<\/span><\/p>\n Drake also jabbed at Rick Ross, whom seemingly picked a side when he\u00a0filmed himself playing “Like That” on social media upon its release.<\/span><\/p>\n “Can’t believe he jumpin’ in, this n–a turnin’ fifty\/ Every song that made it on the chart, he got from Drizzy,” Drake raps on “Push Ups.”<\/span><\/p>\n Ross was quick to respond that same night with his track, “Champagne Moments,” which was also teased on Akademiks’ Twitch stream.
