Forever friends! While Amanda Bynes<\/strong><\/a> was unable to attend\u00a0<\/b>the second annual \u201990s Con<\/a>, her former\u00a0All That\u00a0<\/i>costars<\/a>\u00a0gave her a sweet shout-out.<\/span><\/p>\n It was announced in January that Bynes, 36 \u2014 who has led a relatively private life in recent years \u2014 was scheduled to be a special guest<\/a> at this year\u2019s convention. According to the event\u2019s official website<\/a>, the\u00a0She\u2019s the Man\u00a0<\/i>actress would join fellow\u00a0All That<\/a>\u00a0<\/i>alums\u00a0Kel Mitchell<\/strong><\/a>,\u00a0Danny Tamberelli<\/strong> and Lori Beth Denberg<\/strong> <\/a>on a reunion panel<\/a> inside the Connecticut Convention Center. However, news broke on Friday, March 17, that Bynes would no longer be able to attend.<\/p>\n When the\u00a0All That\u00a0<\/i>stars took the stage on Saturday, March 18, they briefly discussed Bynes\u2019 absence. Mitchell, 44, asked the packed crowd of attendees to \u201csend a prayer\u201d to the actress to \u201cfeel better,\u201d but did not disclose further details about her health.<\/p>\n Fellow\u00a0All That\u00a0<\/i>alum Kenan Thompson<\/strong><\/a> appeared on Saturday in her place<\/a>, where he also offered an update about his and Mitchell\u2019s upcoming\u00a0Good Burger\u00a0<\/i>sequel<\/a>.\u00a0\u201cWe\u2019ve been waiting. We want to get it done and out,\u201d the\u00a0Saturday Night Live<\/a>\u00a0<\/i>star, 44, joked during the panel.<\/p>\n Thompson, 44, Mitchell and Bynes all skyrocketed to fame as featured players on Nickelodeon\u2019s\u00a0All That<\/i><\/a>, which aired between 1994 and 2005. After several seasons on the sketch series, the California native landed her own spin-off<\/a>,\u00a0The Amanda Show <\/i>\u2014 which ran between 1999 and 2001 \u2014 where Bynes led various skits during each episode. (Mitchell and Thompson also starred in their own sketch spinoff series,\u00a0Kenan & Kel<\/i><\/a>.)<\/p>\n Fresh off her\u00a0The Amanda Show\u00a0<\/i>success, the\u00a0Big Fat Liar\u00a0<\/i>actress landed roles in the likes of\u00a0What a Girl Wants, She\u2019s the Man<\/a>, Hairspray<\/a>, Sydney White\u00a0<\/i>and\u00a0What I Like About You<\/i><\/a>. After a brief acting hiatus<\/a> in 2010, Bynes returned to the big screen in that year\u2019s\u00a0Easy A\u00a0<\/i><\/a>opposite Emma Stone<\/strong><\/a> and Penn Badgley<\/strong><\/a> before taking another step back from the spotlight<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI just had no purpose in life. I\u2019d been working my whole life and [now] I was doing nothing,\u201d the\u00a0Love Wrecked\u00a0<\/i>actress recalled to\u00a0Paper<\/a>\u00a0<\/i>magazine in 2018. \u201cI had a lot of time on my hands and I would \u2018wake and bake\u2019 and literally be stoned all day long. \u2026 I got really into my drug usage and it became a really dark, sad world for me.\u201d<\/p>\n By August 2013, the former child star was placed under a temporary conservatorship<\/a> after a series of mental health and substance abuse struggles. Her mother, Lynn Bynes<\/strong><\/a>, was named the conservator over Amanda\u2019s health care and personal matters.
