The time has come for former Jersey Shore<\/em><\/a> couple Sammi \u201cSweetheart\u201d Giancola<\/strong><\/a> and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro<\/strong><\/a> to reunite on the hit MTV show. Ahead of their encounter, Ronnie opened up about his feelings and explained that he intended to \u201crebuild [his] relationships\u201d with his former roommates.<\/p>\n \u201cMe and Sammi, we don\u2019t have to be friends, but we\u2019ve known each other for so long, there\u2019s gonna be that instant feeling of something,\u201d Ronnie, 38, said in the trailer of the \u200bThursday, April 11, episode of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation<\/em> per Entertainment Tonight<\/em><\/a>. \u201cWhether it\u2019s bad or good, I don\u2019t know. I\u2019m just gonna see what happens.\u201d<\/p>\n Sammi, 37, who officially split from Ronnie in 2014, didn\u2019t hide her feelings leading up to Ronnie\u2019s arrival. Naturally, she had a conversation with costars Jenni \u201cJWoww\u201d Farley<\/strong>, Nicole \u201cSnooki\u201d Polizzi<\/strong> and Angelina Pivarnick<\/strong> before revealing that the situation made her feel uneasy.<\/p>\n \u201cI honestly never thought I\u2019d be back, yet alone be on vacation with my ex, so of course I\u2019m gonna be on edge,\u201d the Sweetheart Styles founder told the cameras in a confessional. \u201cIt was hard for me to come back in the first place, so I hope they can see where I\u2019m coming from.\u201d<\/p>\n Fans watched Sammi and Ronnie\u2019s tumultuous relationship blow up on the Jersey Shore, in Miami and Italy. They didn\u2019t end their on-again, off-again relationship on the best terms \u2013 which played a big part in Sammi\u2019s decision not to re-join her castmates during the inaugural season in 2018. Fans seemingly gave up all hopes of seeing Sammi on their television screens again and were utterly shocked when she announced her return to the show<\/a> in March 2023.<\/p>\n Four months after dropping the major news, she explained that she didn\u2019t initially return because she \u201cwasn\u2019t in a good place\u201d at the time.<\/p>\n \u201cI was in a bad relationship. I was going through a lot. I didn\u2019t want to put myself in another toxic environment again,\u201d she said during a July 2023 appearance on The View<\/em>. \u201cI feel like I\u2019m in all good aspects of my life. I\u2019m ready to come back. I missed everybody. It had nothing to do with the cast. It just felt like now was the right time to come back to everybody. It had to be the right time. \u2026 I did the show originally when I was 22. Being on a TV show is a lot. It\u2019s very hard to go from a normal life to being on a TV show.\u201d<\/p>\n Sammi and Ronnie moved on to other serious relationships after calling it quits. In 2021, Sammi revealed she was single after she and ex-fianc\u00e9 Christian Biscardi<\/strong> called off their engagement after four years together. She\u2019s now engaged to fianc\u00e9 Justin May<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n As for Ronnie\u2019s love life, he introduced fans to ex-girlfriend Jen Harley<\/strong> during her appearances on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation<\/em>. The pair share daughter Ariana Sky, who was born in April 2018.
