The CW’s Jane the Virgin<\/i>\u00a0<\/a>was a telenovela-inspired romantic comedy that enthralled fans with its soapy plot twists and love triangles. Created by Jennie Snyder Urman<\/strong>, the Golden Globe-nominated TV show first came on the scene in 2014 and lasted for five seasons before its satisfying conclusion.<\/p>\n

The series’ cast was led by Gina Rodriguez<\/strong><\/a>, Justin Baldoni<\/strong><\/a> and Brett Dier<\/strong> <\/a>in main roles, with scene-stealing supporting performances by Yara Martinez<\/strong><\/a>, Bridget Regan<\/strong>, Anthony Mendez <\/strong>and so many more.\u00a0Rodriguez, for her part, starred as the titular character, Jane Villanueva. In the series premiere, Jane is a 23-year-old virgin<\/a> who learns she’s pregnant after accidentally being artificially inseminated<\/a> by her doctor. In a split second, Jane\u2019s entire life changes \u2014 as do her relationships with her boyfriend (and eventual husband<\/a>), Michael Cordero (Dier), and the baby\u2019s father, Rafael Solano (Baldoni).<\/p>\n

The show became a major hit and led plenty of its cast members to stardom<\/a>, including a Golden Globe trophy for Rodriguez<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s interesting \u2014 but fun! This is a real thing families deal with this all the time, new people coming in. I love the way our show delicately and educationally the subject,\u201d the\u00a0Man Enough\u00a0<\/i>author exclusively told\u00a0Us Weekly\u00a0<\/i>in October 2017<\/a> of playing Rafael and working on the dramedy. \u201c[Rafael and I would] both take a bullet for our children. We want them to have better lives and opportunities than we did. But I wouldn\u2019t compromise my beliefs or morals because I don\u2019t place the same value on wealth and financial security that he does. The biggest difference is that I have a strong spiritual belief and Rafael doesn\u2019t because he\u2019s so hurt and broken.\u201d<\/p>\n

One thing that Baldoni wasn\u2019t as excited about? Whenever the hotel owner needed to strip down<\/a>. \u201cI cringe when there\u2019s a shirtless scene because I never feel I am in good enough shape,\u201d he told\u00a0Us\u00a0<\/i>at the time. \u201cI struggle with the difference between how Justin looks and how Rafael is supposed to look. To me, I\u2019ll always be the skinny kid with the narrow shoulders. I think it\u2019s cool to talk about because a lot of men don\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n

Jane the Virgin<\/i>, which takes inspiration from classic telenovelas, aired its final episode in July 2019<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe started shooting the first season of\u00a0Jane<\/i>\u00a0in July 2014. A few days into shooting I turned 30 on set. Yesterday I turned 35. And today is the very last episodes, 99 and 100 airing of\u00a0Jane The Virgin.<\/i>\u00a0Five years. Five years of love, laughter, growth, pain, surprises, deaths, new births and a s\u2014t ton of memories,\u201d Rodriguez wrote via Instagram<\/a> amid the series finale. \u201cI will never stop making art to bring Joy and Laughter into your home\/train ride\/plane ride or classroom! Art is my savior. Art is what makes me feel like I can fly. \u2026 I will always love you, Jane.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tSince the ending of Jane the Virgin, Rodriguez has been booked and busy. The Lost Ollie star has not only maintained her status as a wildly popular actor, but she has also ventured into producing and directing.
\nRodriguez has served as an executive producer on Disney+’s Diary of a Future President since its 2020 premiere. She has also made brief cameos as the adult version of the main character, Elena. Additionally, Rodriguez headed up the Netflix rom-com Someone Great alongside Brittany Snow, LaKeith Stanfield and Rosario Dawson.
\nRodriguez has tried her hand at voice acting too, portraying Gina Alvarez on Big Mouth and the titular character in Netflix’s Carmen Santiago. Rodriguez also voiced Velma in Scoob!, released in 2020, and starred in Awake, which debuted in 2021.
\nThe Golden Globe winner married Joe LoCicero in May 2019, nearly three years before they announced they were expecting their first child. Rodriguez, who returned to TV in 2023’s Not Dead Yet, gave birth in early 2023.

\nDier has starred in several shows since Jane’s ending, including Hulu’s Fresh alongside Sebastian Stan and Daisy Edgar-Jones, as well as After Yang and Schooled, the latter being a 1990s-era spin-off of The Goldbergs.
\nActress Haley Lu Richardson proposed to Dier in 2019 after several years together. The pair announced in October 2022 that they called off their engagement two years prior.

\nSince the ending of Jane, Baldoni has stepped into the role of producer and director. He cofounded the Wayfarer Studios with Ahmed Musiol in 2019 before making his directorial debut with Five Feet Apart, starring Cole Sprouse and Richardson. Baldoni also directed the Disney+ musical Clouds and is set to helm the forthcoming It Ends With Us adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s novel.
\nThe California native hosts the “Man Enough” podcast, which inspired his memoir of the same name.
\nBaldoni wed Emily Baldoni (née Foxler) in 2013 before welcoming daughter Maiya and son Maxwell in 2015 and 2017, respectively.

\nBefore the end of Jane the Virgin, Navedo acted alongside Will Smith and Joel Edgerton in the Netflix movie Bright. In 2022, Navedo starred in Smile or Hug, a film that Baldoni produced. On TV, she’s had arcs on several shows, including The Good Fight and Mrs. America.
\nThe New York native and her husband, who wed in 2000, share daughter Ava and son Nico.

Rogelio de la Vega struggles to balance the responsibility of his calling as an actor and his intention to have a relationship with his daughter. 
\nCamil has had several prominent gigs since Jane the Virgin ended, including voice acting roles on the likes of Bojack Horseman, DuckTales and Elena of Avalor. Camil is also featured on Broke, Schmigadoon! and Kimi.
\nThe Mexico native wed Heidi Balvanera in 2013. The twosome share daughter Elena and son Jaime.

The Fallout star is set to star as Wednesday Addams in Netflix’s upcoming Addams Family spinoff.
