Taylor Swift<\/strong><\/a> has fans spiraling over The Tortured Poets Department <\/i>tracklist.<\/a><\/p>\n

The 12th song on TTPD<\/i>, which was given an explicit label on Apple Music, is called \u201cLOML.\u201d While Swifties do not yet know the song styling or lyrics of the track, the title itself is likely short for \u201clove of my life.\u201d Other fans, however, suggest that it could mean \u201closs of my life\u201d \u2014 and the concept has Swifties questioning everything.<\/p>\n

\u201cLoml can mean \u2018love of my life\u2019 or \u2018loss of my life\u2019 or something else entirely different and unhinged and oh god I\u2019m having a breakdown,\u201d one fan wrote via X, with another pointing out that Swift stylized the track in all lowercase letters could indicate a more somber tone.<\/p>\n

It is also possible that Swift, 34, created an entirely new acronym for \u201cloml\u201d altogether.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf \u2018loml\u2019 ends up standing for \u2018love OR my life\u2019 I swear on all deities I will FIGHT,\u201d one fan wrote via Tumblr, theorizing that Swift could be battling between choosing herself or her partner.<\/p>\n

Taylor Nation, the official fan account for Swift and listed on social media as the \u201cintern\u201d of the Tortured Poets Department, seemingly clarified the meaning of the track.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe loml\u2019s brand new album drops ONE WEEK from today. \ud83e\udd0d<\/span>,\u201d a Friday, April 12, X<\/span><\/a> post read, alongside a photo of Swift. \u201cRecreate the #TSTTPD cover(s) that you pre-ordered. Since Taylor Nation was referring to Swift herself as their \u201cloml,\u201d it\u2019s been inferred by fans that it means love of my life.<\/p>\n

Other potential acronyms could stand for \u201closs of my love,\u201d \u201closing only my love,\u201d \u201clonely over my lover\u201d or \u201cliving only my life,\u201d though \u201clove of my life\u201d is certainly the most common meaning of the phrase, which Swift previously dropped in her lyrics. In 2017\u2019s \u201cI Don\u2019t Wanna Live Forever,\u201d a duet with Zayn Malik<\/strong><\/a>, Swift notably sings, \u201cWondering if I dodged a bullet or just lost the love of my life?\u201d<\/p>\n
