Highs and lows.\u00a0Jenelle Evans<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and her husband,\u00a0David Eason<\/strong><\/a>, have gone through ups and downs over the years<\/a>.<\/p>\n The\u00a0Teen Mom 2\u00a0<\/i><\/a>alum began dating Eason in 2015, nearly two years before they tied the knot<\/a>. Shortly after their September 2017 nuptials, the pair welcomed daughter Ensley<\/a> in January of that year. (Evans is also the mom of son Jace<\/a>, whom she shares with ex Andrew Lewis<\/strong><\/a>, and son Kaiser<\/a>, whom she shares with ex Nathan Griffith<\/strong><\/a>.)<\/p>\n Less than two years later, the pair had gone their separate ways with the MTV personality \u2014 who was previously married to Courtland Rogers<\/strong> <\/a>from 2012 to 2014 \u2014 planning to file for divorce.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve mostly kept off social media the past few days because I\u2019ve been focused on making some big life decisions,\u201d the\u00a0Read Between the Lines\u00a0<\/i>author wrote via Instagram in October 2019<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019ve lived my life on camera since I was 17 years old. And a lot of it hasn\u2019t been pretty but it\u2019s been my life. Like anyone else, I want what\u2019s best for my kids and I want to be happy. With the time I took away from\u00a0Teen Mom<\/i>\u00a0I\u2019ve started looking at my life differently and I know I need to make changes. I\u2019m starting now.\u201d<\/p>\n Evans continued: \u201cThe kids and I have moved away from David. Nobody gets into a marriage expecting it to end but I know that\u2019s what is best for me, and for my kids.\u201d<\/p>\n News of the pair\u2019s split came after Eason admitted to killing their family dog<\/a> and Evans temporarily lost custody of both Kaiser and Ensley<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cThings have been bad even when they looked good on the surface,\u201d a source told\u00a0Us Weekly\u00a0<\/i>that month<\/a>. \u201cDavid was on his best behavior during court and when he had to clean up and prove himself in order to get custody of the kids back. But once it was over he was right back to his old self.\u201d<\/p>\n By March 2020, however, the couple had reconciled, vowing to give their marriage another shot<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201cI left him, and I was like, this isn\u2019t going to be good when I go back to him<\/a>,\u201d the North Carolina native recalled to\u00a0Us<\/i>\u00a0in March 2021<\/a>. \u201cI know some people don\u2019t understand, but there\u2019s a lot of worse things that have happened in my life than getting back with my husband and trying to work it out. For me, I was willing to give it a second shot<\/a>. I told David when I came home, I said, \u2018If this does not work, we are separating and I am leaving.\u2019 And I think he got it because before, I think [he thought] it just was an empty threat, and then I really left. So, he saw that I really will [leave him]. He started paying attention more to what I was saying.\u201d<\/p>\n The \u201cGirl S#!t\u201d podcast host added: \u201cTo me, I felt like we can work through that, especially if we went to marriage counseling and we went to parenting counseling before we\u2019d been to marriage counseling. I\u2019m just glad we got over it. Things are a lot better<\/a>.\u201d<\/p>\n
